Chris handled my divorce case. The case turned into a debacle with my husband getting everything. The only thing I got was an enormous bill from Mr. Macturk. I cannot express, in words, my great disappointment with the services Chris provided. Please do you due diligence before you hire this attorney. I do not recommend that you hire this attorney.

I was worried my divorce would be a difficult process. My ex had access to all our legal documents, and I didn’t. Evolution took care of all the details, went to the courthouse, and got the paperwork I needed. They were thorough and advised me on the right path to navigating a sometimes frustrating court system. On top of that, Evolution Divorce’s fixed pricing model gave me peace of mind that costs would not go uncontrolled. Chris and his team gave me confidence from our first meeting and helped me get the results I wanted.

I made the horrific mistake of hiring Chris as my lawyer in 2008. Chris appeared to be on my side and made me think that I had nothing to worry about when going to court versus my now x husband over custody of my then 2 1/2 year old. He wound up costing me close to $7k and the result of the preliminary hearing broke my heart by the judge awarding joint custody to my x. Chris acted like it didn't matter to him one way or the other if I lost or won when it came to the hearing. He allowed my x's attorney to walk all over him and eventually beat him in a case that was pretty cut and dry considering I had plenty of evidence against my x to prove that I was the primary parent even through our marriage. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy. I had to hire another attorney to get me divorced because after thousands of dollars and not getting the results I wanted or hoped for, I was not about to waste anymore money or time on someone I did not trust. 9 years later, I am still fighting with my x and about to go back to court over custody again. Thanks for putting me into debt and ruing mine and my son's lives.

During my divorce I was represented by a named partner at a well known firm. I felt that my attorney wasn't working in my best interest so I interviewed several firms and chose Chris Macturk. That was the best legal decision I have ever made. Chris Macturk represented me in multiple post divorce issue trials and motions over several years. Each and every time we interacted I knew he was fully engaged with my concerns. Chris is always receptive to my perspective and input, forthcoming with personal and professional opinion, and always concerned about the impact such legal matters have on the overall family dynamics, most importantly the children. He knows how to have the hard conversations with a client and understands how the client feels in such situations, a unique empathy for lawyers. Excellent representation in the courtroom where he won all 4 motions I was involved in with the very litigious mother of my sons. Chris was extremely supportive in helping me through testifying on the stand, determining best case situations for my sons custody, and establishing fair and equitable support. I have recommended Chris to everyone I know in divorce/custody matters over the years and I personally know of no better person to have backing you up while fighting on your behalf.

Mr. Macturk handled my case with reasonable outcomes and results in mind. He allowed me to fully explain my situation and focused our efforts on achievable outcomes, and did not waste time or belabor small points. I view Mr Macturk as highly qualified, experienced and results oriented. Highly recommended.

I felt that Chris was very empathetic to our situation. We never had to wait or wonder what was going on. He was honest and realistic. I felt the fee charged was very fair. I highly recommend Chris.

Chris guided me through a fairly complicated separation agreement during a difficult time. From beginning to end, he was highly professional, understanding and, importantly - responsive. I always knew I could send him an e-mail or leave a voicemail and get a quick response...not the endless excuses you sometimes get as if you are not one of the "important" clients. He always took the time to explain things to me, present options and then push forward on whatever decisions we made. I highly recommend Chris for any legal representation you may consider.

I hired this attorney Chris Macturk and two of Chris' important qualities are his demeanor and legal knowledge in his field of expertise. He listens and formulates a conclusion /plan of action in an efficient time frame. You feel at ease with Chris and sense he is your advocate. He is not hesitant to have the honest conversation.

...This was an unbelievably stressful experience with high stakes (children). I fired the first attorney and then landed with Chris Macturk at Barnes & Diehl who came highly recommended. The difference was like night/day. This was a very contentious conflict against an aggressive law firm. Chris performed exceptionally well for me and was a calming influence in those times that required just that. If a client, or family member of a client is in the unfortunate circumstance of needing this service, Chris could be a great guy to talk to.

I had the great misfortune of working with Christopher Macturk. You can imagine what the balance would be with that type of charge for copying alone. Mr. Macturk didn't seem to care one way or another how things worked out in court. Mr. Macturk also is not a very persuasive advocate and is becomes quite uncomfortable if things become contentious in the courtroom. In short, I felt like Mr. Macturk could not have care less about my case and did me a great disservice by even accepting my case.

I worked with Mr. Macturk on my divorce several years ago. If I had it to do over again I would have never have hired this attorney. Mr. Macturk's is a prime example of why attorney's have the poor reputation that they have today. DO NOT hire this attorney unless you want to give you ex EVERYTHING!

I would definitely retain Chris. In every step of my divorce he provided me with excellent advice and direction. I truly felt that we were a partnership during my divorce. He listened to what I had to say and would advise me of the correct course of action as well as pointing out what the consequences might be if I continued pushing for something that might not be to my benefit. He promptly answered any email questions I had.
