Jim has been there to help start my new business. Also, Jim's easy-going, sensible demeanor makes this former US Navy pilot a trusted friend and counselor.

Six years ago my husband and I hired a lawyer (who will remain nameless) to write our will. Ultimately, we were VERY dissatisfied with him for many reasons that we won't go into here. Fast forward six years... we needed to make changes to our will. And we had no intentions of going back to the first lawyer. So after doing a little online research, we contacted John Lumpkins and a few other lawyers. We talked briefly with John on the phone before meeting, and once we met face to face, knew we had found "the one." John's breadth and depth of experience (in particular Virginia law) helped us to cut to the chase to make necessary changes to our will in a painless manner. He has experience and knowledge in dealing with clients who have had problems with poorly written wills. Consequently, he was able to make sure that going forward, our will was amended to reflect our specific needs so we won't have any issues down the road. We also like the fact that John is a solo practitioner. The buck stops with him and he makes things right. We can't recommend him highly enough!
