I know no one wants to think about death, but trust me: you need estate planning services with an experienced attorney, and you cannot go wrong with Scott Golightly. After experiencing a loss in my family where we only had a copy of the will and that copy was almost 30 years old, my husband and I decided to NOT put our families in a pickle if someone were to happen to us, and Scott came highly recommended from another attorney I know (always a good sign to be recommended by a fellow attorney!). From the beginning, he explained everything simply and thoroughly so we understood all of our options. There really is no substitute for an expert attorney, and Scott is a personable, knowledgeable, sharp guy who walked us through every step with patience. There are so many aspects of estate planning I wasn't aware of and so many Virginia-specific laws that I didn't know about that I'm glad I didn't just go with an online service to save some money. Our documents would've had some gaps if I'd done that, for sure. I appreciate that he charged a flat fee and communicated about costs up front, too. Scott and his staff are highly organized and efficient (very important to me as a Type A person), and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I would highly recommend Golightly Mulligan and Morgan. No one likes to think about estate planning and may put it off. I saw what my children went through when their dad passed and nothing was planned so I decided to call Scott and his team.
