I’m very disappointed. This firm was appointed as Guardian ad Litem for my daughter in a case involving bullying…..The court said someone would be appointed to me and they would contact me. Two weeks went by before someone called me. I received a voicemail on a Friday of the holiday weekend instructing me to come into the office on Tuesday and the hearing was scheduled for the next day……. My daughter has ADHD and the attorney was not explaining things in a way that my daughter could understand. I had to keep interjecting to to help my child. A possible resolution was communicated to us. We were told that the attorney would come to court early to meet with opposing counsel to discuss. The attorney didn’t arrive at the stated time and then spent the entire time with opposing counsel. When our case was called she rushed us into the courtroom without adequately explaining to my child or allowing me to explain to my child what the options were. Infront of the judge, Ms. Dillion said that she wanted to withdraw the complaint which my daughter was not ok with. My child was crying and visibly disturbed and Ms. Dillion did nothing. Upon leaving the room I said my daughter was not ok with that resolution and that’s not what we agreed to. Her response was well she would’ve been more not ok if she had to be cross examined. I said my daughter doesn’t feel safe and she said well that’s not enough and it’s too late now…… My daughters best interest was not honored. It seems like the goal was to expedite the case and not to actually resolve the situation. I have filed a complaint but I guess this is what you get when you don’t have a paid attorney.

I’ve had primary physical custody of my son for over six years now. This was largely due to John’s guidance, attention to detail and aptitude in the courtroom. His understanding of the law is substantial. Remember, not all attorneys are created equal. The opposing counsel’s knowledge and professionalism was vastly inferior to John’s. Brittany Carper took care of our wills, advanced directives and powers of attorney. She was very patient with all of our questions and quite clear and direct with her answers and explanations.
