I have dealt with my share of family, divorce and bankruptcy attorneys over the past 15 years (due to my career in a field that requires the hiring of attorneys - but not having a career within the legal field or court system). I understand the difference between a solid attorney and an inexperienced knuckle-head (due to my divorce 13 years ago). Over the past four years I have had the pleasure of utilizing the expertise of David Roop and firm. In every, single aspect of my process, Roop and firm were exceptional. Without a doubt, exceptional.

My family had the privilege of working with Roop Law Firm several years ago for reasons I will not go into detail. I will say it was a very tough, messy, complicated case and I am almost certain that Roop Law firm would agree in my stating that considering the nature of the case. I have never worked with a more dedicated team of attorneys. Not only were they dedicated, they cared about us and our case in which they represented. I'm sure many people who work with Law Firms have made the statement that they only care because they are getting paid. I personally can say they truly cared about our case, the nature of the case as well as the people involved. I can truly say this because to this day, 4 1/2 years later I still stay in contact with Roop Law Firm. I still hear from members of their firm who check in to say they are thinking about us and hope we are doing well. I can not say enough great things about Roop Law Firm. To my family Roop Law Firm was a blessing from God and we could not have gone through what we went through with the outcome we had if we had any other Law Firm. Roop Law Firm deserves more than Five Stars in my book.

My divorce was very challenging. My ex had far-fetched expectations for which she would stop at nothing to attain. David Roop represented me from the start of my unfortunate long and drawn out divorce process. 10 years later, I am still able to rely on Dave and his staff for clarification of various child support issues. While my nightmare ex went through three different lawyers who pulled out every startling accusation, trick and mind game in the book, Dave kept me grounded and calm. Divorce can eat someone up inside and David and his staff, especially Michelle, always calmed me down and gave me the right advice. They shared their personal experience and how one needs to think to get to the other side. He and his staff have a unique ability to embrace, embolden and keep you on the high moral ground. He was compassionate and caring for both sides and especially for my children. He looked far down the road, saved my company, cut a fair deal and that is exactly what I wanted. I am a financial professional and understand finances. He gave me realistic expectations about the asset split and support levels. He and his staff were instantly available, billed fairly and are by far one of the best, moralistic, and ethical divorce lawyers in the Washington DC area.

The Roop Law Firm represented me during my stormy and turbulent two-year divorce. I still value their legal advice above all and I put 100% trust in them, which helped me to emerge from my divorce fully in charge of my own future. The Roop Law Firm is rated FIVE STARS in my opinion.

I was married 15 years. I was so focused on the pain and the emotional stress that I did not think about the value of having a strong legal counsel to represent me in my separation and subsequent divorce. I tried negotiating the separation agreement on my own, with a mediator and through counsel recommended by people. I spent three months, struggling to reach an agreement, until I meet David Roop. Within the first meeting I felt a level of peace and hope I had not expected. He spent more time than he charged and he was diligent, explaining cases related to me as a person, business man and relevant to my particular situation. After almost four hours, he even asked me if he could take me to lunch. The second time I met, I have a draft agreement from my ex wife. After showing it to David, we did some edits, I submitted it back to her and it was signed within 24 hours. After just one year almost to the date, I was divorced without any courts involved. David introduced me to Kabara Praskavich) who effectively and without emotion, resolved all other details of my case, while still being compassionate and truly involved. After settling the divorce, I had a choice to switch counsels and go with a local lawyer to handle any future disputes. I refuse to let go of the Roop firm. Their skills set, level of experience and most importantly, their ability to know how to "play chess instead of checkers", is second to none.
