My attorney, Natalie, was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process. Not only did she bring a vast amount of knowledge and wisdom to the table, but she also displayed great empathy and care towards my situation. I never at any point felt like a “customer”, and could fully trust that she had my best interest and outcome in mind. Told me my $300 for consultation would go towards my payment but withheld the fact i needed to retain them within 24 hours for that to happen. Then the other party reached out to the lawyer and asked him to do work for them and they charged me for it. There’s plenty of other lawyers in Virginia Beach with better integrity than this.

I called to inquire if I could be represented by a lawyer here as someone who is no longer a resident of Virginia. They told me it would be a $300 fee to get a yes or no answer to that... So basically I would pay $300 just to potentially hear, "No, we cannot represent you if you're not a resident of Virginia." It takes about 30 seconds to tell someone no. If the answer was yes, then sure, I understand paying for a consultation...but if the answer is no then what are they possibly going to tell me that is worth $300? That I should brush my teeth every day and wear nice clothing in court in my home state?

After sitting down for a consultation with a lawyer, I left the office well-informed as she gave me advice about my divorce that was very valuable…

Despite the circumstance, it was a great and insightful experience speaking with Ivette Matos. She is both professional and knowledgeable, putting my mind at ease with a multitude of paths forward to address my concerns.
