I'm an attorney, but not licensed to practice in Virginia. My father had recently passed and left some IRA certificates at a Federal Credit Union (FCU) in Virginia Beach without a designated beneficiary. This FCU refused to transfer ownership of the IRAs to his surviving spouse, i.e., my 90+ year old mother. Attorney L.
