Tom Shumaker is an excellent attorney. He was very knowledgeable and had the ability to think of several different approaches to dealing with the legal matter we had with the City of Newport News. Ultimately his advice lead to me being able to resolve the matter quickly and efficiently. I want to addthat he is the most compassionate attorney that I have ever worked with. Attorney Shumaker is not only highly knowledgable and compassionate, but his years of experience leading employment law from the "inside" with a large corporation shows. His legal insight and strategy definitely helped me in settling my wrongful termination/hostile work environment case when other attorneys wanted to approach it from a different direction.
