Wish I could give a negative 5 stars! “Jane Lemley” was extremely rude and conceited during our conversation over the phone. “You couldn’t afford me anyways”. I wouldn’t want to hire her or spend a penny on her, even if she was the last attorney in town. Would NEVER recommend this office or Jane Lemley specifically to anyone! There are much more polite & professional attorneys in Winchester, spend your time & money elsewhere!!

I suggest avoiding Charles Billman at all costs. He will take as much money from you and your family as he possibly can (even as a court appointed attorney) and will do as little as he can get away with. He is a horrible lawyer. He gave my partner horrible legal advice, little to no effort/ representation, missed court dates, and this all resulted in my partner going to prison. In my opinion he purposely gave poor legal advice so my partner would be sentenced to prison and Charles Billman would no longer have to work for us (he could turn his attention to scamming other vulnerable people for thousands of dollars and nothing in return.) I personally witnessed and experienced Charles Billman's poor performance in court and his rude attitude towards us for quite some time. He was biased and did not believe in or fight for the innocence of my partner. He is a criminal defense lawyer and acts more like a prosecutor. He put no effort in whatsoever. And was way too friendly towards prosecutors (possible collusion and corruption going on.) He literally did nothing but occasionally show up. He did nothing to defend my partner. He should be ashamed of himself. He is greedy, manipulative, rude, incompetent, a liar, and careless. This law firm should be embarrassed and ashamed for employing him. His legal assistant 'Whitney' is also shockingly rude and offensive. One of the rudest people I've ever met. This law firm, Charles Billman, and his whole team should be investigated for poor performance, bribery, bias, corruption, collusion, incompetence, and fraudulent activities. Shame on you Charles Billman and Harrison & Johnston. My partner and I will never forget how awfully you treated us and failed us and our children. We will never stop fighting for our justice, one way or another.

Matt Bass has represented me on several occasions and not only is he incredibly communicative. His professionalism is unmatched and makes his clientele feel comfortable trusting legal processes. There’s really no one better than Matt and his legal partners. Also he’s a rockstar in the courthouse - highly recommend!

Best lawyer hands-down does not settle wins his cases this is the guy to go to and he’s out of town !!

Atty Charles Billman is the worst attorney in the State of Virginia, and maybe in the United States. He is a clone of that crooked lawyer Michael Avenatti, who just got sent to Federal Prison. In fact, Mr Billman makes him look like a choir boy. After I paid Mr Billman for a simple domestic case, he essentially disappeared. He refused to answer basic questions, and I had to contact him at least 5 times to his 1 return message. He through my case. I missed my court by accident because I got the dates mixed up. He didn't request a Continuance, nor did he even bother to call to see if I was running late. Mr Billman showed me no common courtesy whatsoever. As bad as lawyer he is, he is even a worse human being. He has had complaints levied against him in the past with the bar association.

Glad to see Mathew Bass joining Harrison and Johnston! Great addition to the team. I have worked with Mr. Bass on a few occasions and he has always come through for me.

I had the privilege of working with Ari Sommer Esq from Harrison & Johnston. When you work with Ari Sommer, you will find that he is who you would consider above and beyond any expectations of a lawyer. We hired Ari Sommer to help my parents when my dad had dementia and he needed long term nursing care; my mom did not need that type of care. Essentially, they had to split while still being married. This happens so many times with the elderly. From the moment we met Ari Sommer he became a guardian angel to my parents and my sisters and me. You expect someone to do what is typical in creating a will etc., but Ari Sommer did so much more. He presented meticulous information to allow supporting agencies such as Medicaid to make quick and concise decisions to secure my parents living conditions as well as financially. I know I may sound repetitive, but I watched Ari as not only did he dot his "i’s” and cross his "t’s” but he created a road map with precise information and directions to allow agencies to quickly make decisions in my parents favor without having these agencies to ask for further information which would have delaying the outcome for my parents. Time is essential in these matters. He is highly intelligent, compassionate, and caring, and he also went way, way past that. He looked at their situation along with other laws in place and felt that somethings needed to change. After his detailed analysis, he sought after remedies that would protect my parents and their assets. He actually developed a new way to apply a law that can benefit people in Virginia and in doing so, allowed my mother and father to financially be secure and safe. Again, I am repeating myself, but I have never seen someone like him and the way his mind worked. He theorized and meticulously presented information to judges and developed a new application of the law to help not only my parents but others who may be in similar situations in the future. So, do I recommend Ari Sommer you better believe it. I only wish there were more people out there like him and yes, I wish I was more like Ari Sommer and I am a business owner of 20 years. To say he is my hero is not stated without fact, he defines heroism. He took care of my parents when my sisters and I did not know how to. He took that weight off my sisters and I and my parents as we trusted him to protect and serve my parents For that Ari Sommer you are my hero and I cannot thank you so much for the way you compassionately took care of my parents and treated them with the fight and determination with love, gentleness, and reassurance you gave to my parents during this time.
