Matt was a joy to work with because of his level of diligent communication. I really appreciated how he was always contacting me before he made any actions as my lawyer. I can’t speak for all his clients but I know that he truly cares about the people he is working with. I was pulled over and charged with a DUI. I felt like my whole world was turned upside down, and I began the search for someone to represent me. Before I happened upon Matt’s website, I had interviewed 4 other attorneys. One was crazy expensive but willing to take extended payments with high interest. Another told me not to bother with the DOL hearing?!?..the other 2 seemed reasonable, but I could not come up with the down payment before my arraignment, and they were unwilling to represent me without it. I was left feeling confused and helpless. Then I came across Matt’s number..I’ll be forever grateful that I did. He didn’t come across as arrogant, over confident..or pessimistic. He was kind and real. And he offered to represent me at my arraignment before I could give him a down payment. Wow! Not only did Matt’s knowledge of the DOL hearing process get my case with them dismissed, his persistence with the prosecutor got my DUI (in the unforgiving city of Seattle)dropped to a negligent with minimal fines and community service. When I suggested the notion of trial, Matt gave me his best advice and the confidence that, if I were to go through with it, he would build the best case in my defense. I believe in my heart that Matt could have gotten my case dismissed. But with the extra time and financial obligations that go with a trial, and the risk of losing a deal with the prosecutor should a jury have found me guilty, I accepted the bargain. Matt is genuine, kind, and compassionate. I felt comfortable around him, and he gave me hope and confidence when I was unsure. He was available to talk or text at any hour and was always quick to respond. I would recommend Matt to anyone looking for a well connected, willing to go the extra mile, knows the ins and outs of the system, knowledgeable of the law attorney.

I have retained attorneys in different states for various things but Matt is by far top shelf. It is so very important that a person in need of an attorney get the right one. I contacted Mr. Leyba for a legal issue. He was extremely personable and professional in walking me through the process and making me aware of what would happen. Multiple times I had to call him late at night and at other odd hours and he was always patient and very responsive. Mr. Leyba also gave me a very good idea of the upfront costs that would go into the process, and made it clear what would and would not be included in that. From the time that I hired him, till the end of my case, he guided me through the process, and set the right expectations so that nothing unexpected happened. I was also able to talk to him and have him reason all parts of the case and explained to me the parts that were flexible, vs required by law. Our case was delayed significantly because of Covid, and he worked with me through the delay, as well as kept me informed of any future dates and prepared me every step of the way. I had a great experience, Although I wish I never have to speak to him again. If I ever do need help with legal matters, I would not hesitate to call him again.
