We used Mary as our attorney for our bankruptcy. She doesn't return calls or emails promptly. Often times we have to send several emails an wait weeks to get a response. I would NOT recommend using her. Very unprofessional.

Hello, Does anyone know where Mary moved to? I need to ask her a question on my Bankruptcy she did for me several years ago and when I goggle her, it shows she is in Friday Harbor now, but the number is disconnected. Any ideas?? Thank you!

Mary and her assistant Linda were incredibly personable, helpful, knowledgeable, thorough and instrumental in the process of my Chapter 7 experience. Declaring bankruptcy can be daunting, intimidating and stress-inducing. I felt cared for, supported and strongly represented throughout the entire process. Mary's fee is extremely fair and comparable to many, and the personal relationship that they create adds an extra level of trust to the process. I would highly recommend Mary Schmitt to anyone searching for legal assistance.

Very poor job handling my case. Didn't respond to my calls, no email response, had to re-do paperwork and reschedule dates because she did the wrong process.

I recently had Ms Schmitt update my will. I have property in another state and she was very helpful in assuring that all areas of my estate were taken care of. I hired Attorney Mary Schmitt to prepare my Estate Planning. Attorney Schmitt asked me questions that I hadn't even considered. She was extremely knowledgeable. I have just finished my chapter 7 bankruptcy with Ms. Schmitt, and cannot be a more satisfied customer. I am actually surprised at all the negative reviews posted about her on this website. The whole experience of working with Mary and her staff was wonderfully easy and worries free. The hardest part for me personally was actually gathering all the information for the office. As soon as they had it, and my fees were paid, my case was ready in no time. Mary was always pleasant to talk to, and most importantly, very patient with me. My phone calls and emails were always returned. Also, the staff always gave me the heads up on what was going on with my case and/or if they needed anything from me. Overall, my experience was great, and worth every penny.

I contacted this attorney for both bankruptcy and a Will. Fees were reasonable, and my questions were always answered. The office was very busy, but my calls were returned within a day or two. They made a potentially anxiety-laden experience (bankruptcy) very easy for me.

Had her do a bankruptcy in 2003 and am still dealing with her bad work in 2007. Did not do what she said she would. Could never talk to anyone but a paralegal who gave me the run-around. Do NOT use this lawyer.
