Hiring Melissa Sullivan from Sullivan Law Group was the best decision I made for my legal representation for a DUI. My journey began on October 31st, 2020 when I made a terrible choice to drive my car to go get food while intoxicated. I was pulled over entering my apartment complex as I parked at my assigned spot. I knew what happened. I knew I was wrong. I cooperated with the officer. I ended up blowing 3x the legal limit of .08. I sat in jail for 20 hours. Shortly thereafter, I searched for a DUI attorney. Melissa was the first I contacted. I felt immediate ease after explaining what happened. I felt comfortable listening to her. Then, I consulted with a second attorney who did not quite put me at ease. I decided Melissa was the clear choice. Right away, Melissa guided me on the right track. She advised me in great detail on what exactly I needed to do. I followed up immediately. I attended and completed the classes along with the required assessment. Also, I paid to appeal my license suspension with the DOL. While doing this, Melissa got me a continuance since she knew I'd be on vacation out of town during the Christmas/New Year holidays. The big news came when Melissa informed me the prosecutor agreed to a plea deal of negligent driving in the 1st degree, which was the desired goal! Next, we found out the DOL would be dismissing our case! Melissa subpoenaed the officer to appear at the DOL hearing however he no-showed. Our chance of winning was around 20%. We won. Before my final court appearance, Melissa went over everything the judge would ask. She put me at ease. Even though the judge issued slightly higher fines, I was not ordered anything beyond the agreed plea deal. In conclusion, while Melissa apologized to me for not getting lower fines, she absolutely "Hit It Out Of The Park". I'm grateful for Melissa Sullivan's guidance throughout my legal journey. I'm most grateful I did not cause any harm to others from my action. I would highly recommend Melissa Sullivan at the Sullivan Law Group to anyone who needs a DUI attorney.
