I can't recommend Darren highly enough. Darren was my divorce lawyer for a high conflict divorce that lasted for 18 months. Without a good lawyer on my side the outcome would have been very different. Darren did an amazing job of keeping the situation under control and worked very hard to help us reach a fair settlement. We even managed to resolve the divorce through mediation without going to court. But most important is Darren's ability to inject a sense of humanity into the proceedings. I see many reviews for Darren use the word compassionate to describe him. I feel this is very accurate and so important. Darren's compassion and humane treatment of the process helped me so much during this difficult time. I am very grateful to have had Darren as my lawyer and recommend him to anyone needing a divorce lawyer. I am rereading this review after two years and I still agree with every word.

I originally met with Darren for a consultation for him to guide me in modifying my parenting plan. My situation was a little complicated and I needed to get full custody of my daughter, but I thought as long as he guided me this one time, I could save those extra costs. My new fiance' and I sat down with him and after about 20 minutes I looked at my fiance' and said, "we HAVE to hire him". He was clear and direct with everything, but I felt as he truly cared to help me. We ended up hiring him and I am forever thankful we did. With such an exhausting and emotional process, he made it as simple and clean as possible. I felt he was incredibly fair in his fees and it was worth every penny. I tried to be as helpful and organized as possible in everything he needed from me, and he was always appreciative of that. I felt so confident through this process and it was finalized so much quicker than I thought possible. I now have full custody and so much peace of mind. I will absolutely return to him if I need anything further and I will ABSOLUTELY recommend him to anyone needing help or guidance in Family Law.

At 300 an hour one could expect a little bit more professionalism and responsibility from Port Gardner Family Law than has been experienced.
