Pros
1
Highly knowledgeable and experienced attorneys who are skilled in family law and provide excellent representation
“I know lawyers and the quality of what they do, having worked with or opposite as many as 400 of them. There are three at the top of the list, lawyers who are brilliant, caring, dedicated. Ms First is one of those three.”
2
Responsive, attentive, and compassionate in handling clients' cases
“Cynthia First was responsive, attentive, thorough, professional and full of great advice in my time of need. A strong advocate for me from day one.”
3
Effective in achieving positive outcomes for clients, including securing favorable custody arrangements and property settlements
“Right away, I felt Julie was 'the right one'. She was sincere, compassionate, caring, and I could tell she was smart. She immediately took control and told me what I needed to do in order to assist with the case. I hired her right then and left the meeting feeling as if I was in capable hands.”
4
Highly professional and ethical in their conduct, maintaining courtesy and professionalism throughout the legal process
“I would say that Julie is assertive, fair, smart, careful, and very knowledgeable about the law. Also, I believe her courtroom presence visibly reflects her honesty and sincerity - thereby garnering respect and credibility.”
5
Excellent communication and client support, keeping clients informed and providing guidance throughout the legal process
“My emails were answered immediately, even during off hours.”
Cons
1
Potential for inconsistent quality of service and communication across the firm
“My goodness! You'd think I offended their office for simply calling them. Some of the angriest people I've had the displeasure of speaking with for simply asking for a consultation. Yelling on the phone and getting snippy with clients just for asking who they'd be working with and if they are taking new clients at all is a fantastic indicator of how you actually treat clients.”
2
Concerns about billing practices and value for money
“At 300 an hour one could expect a little bit more professionalism and responsibility from Port Gardner Family Law than has been experienced.”
