I was arrested for a simple household argument with my wife, when a neighbor called the police due to the noise. Both of us explained to the police that we did not want to press charges, but they ended up arresting me and taking me to jail anyways. The worst part was that they put a no-contact order against my wife and I, so we could not even talk about bailing me out, or what to do as far as where I could live, getting my work clothes, and other basic needs. My wife hired the Newton & Hall law firm and I can only say good things about everything they did. They were able to get the judge to actually order the police to meet me at the house so I could get my clothes, a work laptop. They eventually got the case against me dismissed, and the no contact order dropped. This was very important to me, since I cannot have a criminal record in my line of work, and I did not want to lose my gun rights. I hope I never need to hire a lawyer for the rest of my life, at least for something like this. But if I ever had to, I would definitely hire them again.

I can't say anything but good things about Keith's legal work. In so many words, he told me exactly what would happen in my case if we followed his plan of action. The case went almost exactly like he said it would. I appreciate his experience and expertise, in a situation that I had no experience or expertise. This was an expensive lesson, for me to not let my relationships deteriorate to the point that the police get involved, but I learned my lesson. Keith not only has a firm grasp of the legal issues, but is also a nice guy who really cares what happens to his clients.

Keith's team took great care of me at a time I was not able to take care of myself. I know nothing about the law, and I was very glad to find Keith. From the moment I met with him, I felt at ease. He assigned two lawyers to work with me on my case, and I was very happy with how things turned out. I would recommend this firm to anyone looking for a good lawyer. I was once told that "good lawyers are not cheap", and this is true, Keith's services were not cheap, but they were worth it.

Hired this firm for a case I was charged for last year. The case lasted almost a year, but I am damn happy with the outcome. I'm guessing that most criminal cases don't exactly have "happy endings", but this one actually did. I'd like to thank Keith and his associates for working hard on my case when the prosecutor did not want to do anything at all for me. I think I was very unlucky with the prosecutor I drew on my case, but this firm was able to make the best of a situation I had messed up pretty bad from the start. These lawyers return your phone calls, do their homework, and generally treat you like a client rather than a defendant. I have used public pretenders in the past, and I can tell you that these guys are much, much, better.

I thought I was screwed when I fled the scene of a car accident after driving drunk. The cops came to my house looking for me, and I ended up getting charged with DUI and Hit and Run. I had never used a lawyer before, but knew this was not going to turn out well, if I didn't get a great one. I found this firm from a friend who had a great experience, and so I hired them. The firm partner Keith Hall, assigned my case to Brad Barshis, who used to be a prosecutor and is now a defense lawyer. Brad kicked the prosecutors butt and was able to get all charges dismissed. The moral of the story is don't drink and drive, but if you do, hire these guys!

I got my first DUI. I was a nervous wreck and knew I needed a real lawyer, not a public defender. Mr. Hall helped calm me down and listen to my needs. He kept me informed and let me know exactly what to do and when to do it. He was prompt and leveled with me about what kind of trouble I was in. The staff at his office were very all very helpful. The situation was unpleasant but he was extremely cool-headed. Keith treated me like a friend, I appreciate his demeanor. Keith is the best attorney I have ever worked with and turned a terrible experience into a bearable one. There were no hidden fees and the price he quoted me did not change. I would recommend Keith to anyone in my position!

I would imagine that most people who hire a criminal lawyer are a little hesitant to write a review, but I really appreciated what Keith and his team were able to do for my son, and so here it goes. My son is far from perfect, but I love him as only a mother can. He made a big mistake, the sexual kind. When he was arrested we did not know where to turn, my husband and I had never hired a lawyer, other than for business matters. Our company attorney referred us to Keith's firm, since they specialize in sex cases. I am so glad he did, as Keith was able to keep my son from going to prison. My son got the counseling that he deserved, and probation. He never even went to jail. Our family really appreciates Keith's hard work on our case. In addition to the legal work, Keith is a great listener, and really took the time to get to know my son. All in all, we could not have asked for more, during this difficult time.

I was in a one car accident in early December – I took a wrong turned, overcorrected and ended up going up an embankment and flipping my truck. The WA State Patrol responded, I was transported to the hospital and subsequently arrested for DUI because, while on a backboard being wheeled into the ER the trooper as me if I would take a blow test and I said "not right now"... I was on a stretcher and could barely breathe! Apparently, if you refuse to blow no matter the circumstances you are arrested AND you automatically lose your license for a year! For the sake of argument, I blew a the blood tests showed .8.
Enter Keith Hall at Jim Newton Law who I hired to represent me a few weeks. We entered a plea of not guilty and he worked with the prosecutor to have the charges “reduced” to reckless driving. Because I did refuse to blow, the DOL is still mandating that I have an ignition interlock device in my car for a year – AND I have to pay for high risk insurance which I couldn’t get through the carrier I had been with for two decades. This is DOL and it's mandatory because I didn't blow while on the stretcher! Bottom line, if you are asked to blow - just do it! Not blowing is the only way your license can be suspended automatically. Had I said yes, the results could have saved me a lot of money!
I was initially wanting to represent myself but was strongly encouraged to hire an attorney and am thankful I did. Keith did a great job representing me. I recommend Jim Newton Law if you're charged with a DIU
