Diane helped me in the worst time of my life. After being an abusive relationship i found myself in need of her service. She advocated for me and also helped me through everything. I will forever be grateful for her help. If you want a truly caring and amazing lawyer who will listen, do everything in her power for you, communicate well, and not just care about the money, you need Diane. I don’t think everything would have been done and over if it wasn’t for her. Thank you Diane did everything.

Diane is absolutely the best! I had gotten into some serious legal trouble a couple years back and was given a public defender. After consulting with the public defender and a few other attorneys I was told the outcome would be bleak. I was blessed to stumble across her profile and eventually hire her. It was the best decision I could have made as she fought hard for me and armed with her wealth of knowledge was able to get my case dismissed!!

Diane was great she gave me the perfect suggestions to what to do and by listening to her my case was dismissed!

I was falsely accused of a violent crime. Diane investigated the case with a fine tooth comb, and the charges were dropped after my innocence was revealed. Her reputation is outstanding for a reason.

This experience that I had in the criminal justice system was a sensitive and emotional time in my life. Having been assigned Diane as my attorney I did not know what to expect. She was truly amazing. Her approach was very obviously knowledgeable and I felt like she had my life and what would work best for me always in the fore front. Even though we did not get the original outcome we had wanted she got be the BEST 2nd alternative. She was efficient and got things settled quickly. Not very many clients have great things to say about their public defenders but I had a completely different experience I wouldn't have wanted anyone different helping me through this. i had Diane Whaley (zumwalt when she was my attorney, actually changed right in the middle of my case) paid for by the state instead of a public defender and I couldn't have been more lucky or blessed or whatever you believe because although 8 months dragged out in king county Diane delivered the best possible outcome short of charges dropped. 31 months for two alleged non violent bank robberies. Due to unfortunate circumstances, my best friend of 21 years attempted to have a restraining order placed on me in Lewis County. This process was spread out over three months time. I had first hired another lawyer but after three appearances in court it became obvious he was not going to help me. I then began to search for someone who believed in me and was prepared to defend me in this process. I hired Diane in early September and she was prepared to go forward just a week later. The same day I hired her she entered her NOA and obtained my file from my first attorney. The matter was heard finally yesterday in LCDC. The petitioners attorney had the court set aside two hours for this matter. Ms. Whaley was determined and confident in the court room which gave me the confidence in myself to be questioned without faltering. We were presented with two declarations During the hearing which had not been provided to Diane prior, even though she had requested all information from opposing counsel and was told by Opposing she did in fact have all documents. She handled this obstacle gracefully, with ease and confidence. Her courtroom manner is extraordinary as is her kind and caring personality. After two and a half hours the judge denied my friend her order. Diane is sharp. Her quick reactions to the unexpected, her knowledge of the law and ability to question, pursue and obtain the truth ruled the day. I am very grateful to Diane for helping me and believing in me. She's not arrogant or judgmental. Just a kind and very easy attorney to work with. I recommend Diane wholeheartedly and thank her for every bit of her work. So nice to know there are attorneys like her and that I was lucky enough to find her.

Diane is fantastic and I recommend her. She helped a member of my family with a traffic ticket issue a few years ago. Even though she did not represent me, I was heavily involved in this matter and so I feel like I could talk about her as if I was her client. She took care of the issue with great professionalism. She's skilled at what she does and is very responsive. She will help you from beginning to end and you won't feel that she has lost interest in representing you. She will keep you informed and you won't ever feel that you are bothering her with your questions. In my experience, after you let her know what's going on and why you need her help, she'll take the ball and run with it and you can rest assured that she'll do a good job for you. Also she's been there for my family and I over the years as a valuable resource; someone to go to for questions and referrals. Even after successfully handling the traffic issue, she has been someone who we can go to for help with referring us to good attorneys in other legal fields. I had an absolutely rediculous charge on my record for about six years. It was keeping me from getting jobs that I wanted and getting on with my life! Diane was honest with me from the begining... telling me that not everthing can be vacated, but she did feel that I had a very good chance. I have had some serious financial troubles, and she was willing to work me on payment for her services! Diane is very professional and also very warm and understanding! I feel like I have gained a friend!! I'm sure that I will not need an attorney again, but if I do, she will definately be my first and only choice! Love her!! Can't thank her enough!!!
