I hired Kevin for my divorce. He did not inform me until after I gave my retainer that he was going to be out of the office on vacation the entire month of Aug 2016. My divorce motion was postponed due to this. I rarely got to speak to the man I hired. During each of my court hearings he was not prepared, he did not speak to me before hand and was late to the hearings. I watched him prepare what he felt was my argument issue based on what was written in the declaration statement. At one of my motions, he informed the pro temp judge that my soon to be ex husband's income went down which I gave him a nudge and told him it actually went up. He shushed me and took no regard for this. Because he represented this motion incorrectly. the pro temp judge lowered my child support lower than what my ex had requested. I told Kevin this the hearing and he said we could do a modification. He later sent me an email stating, "I f***ed up and urged me to do a revision which cost me $1000.00. I asked him for a discount since this was his error and he did not respond to my request. Emails also went unanswered multiple times. Kevin drug his feet on my case and did not help me. He did more harm than good. I ended up not having any attorney represent my case and did it myself. I ended up with the outcome that I would have expected Kevin to have gotten me while I retained him. He simply was not interested in helping me as much as he was wanting to take my money. My temp court documents were so messy that DCS had a hard time enforcing the orders. I will never use this attorney again, nor will I refer him.

Unprofessional. Borderline incompetent, to the point we are looking into filing a formal complaint. Disorganized, loses important information. We were finding out about court dates and deadlines from opposing counsel, not him. Completely unprepared in court, stuttering and shuffling papers like it's his first time before a judge. Late to court. Does not advocate for his client. Does not answer questions, phone calls or emails. We paid him a $4k retainer for zero results. We switched to another attorney and he won't provide her the details and documents she is requesting and is holding up the process. His "legal assistant" is not knowledgeable or helpful, is crude and unprofessional, curses and does not file documents. Neither him or her will review/explain what they're asking you to sign. Please do not hire this attorney. Read the reviews on various sources on-line. Wish we had before we hired him.

They are a great office. Kept informed of everything, easy to talk to and are so helpful. I feel like the kindness they had for me made everything easier. Treated like family :)

At my custody hearing, He hadn't even reviewed the documents that were submitted to the judge. The judge was even correcting him. I was mortified.

I was separated from my ex wife for almost two years. Throughout the marriage, she took my son out of state four times traveling from state to state while dating a violent offender, providing a very unstable life for him. I hired Mr Kevin Byrd when I felt as if my previous attorney was failing. Kevin and his staff were professional and helpful. Besides the fact that I had to do a lot of leg work, the outcome made it all worth while. Additionally, with the aid of my Guardian Ad Litem and my son's counselor, I received full custody of my son. I greatly appreciate everyone that was involved in this very complex case.

Kevin Byrd has been my attorney for the last 10 years. He has represented me in divorce, claims actions, and financial matters. The divorce lasted 6 years and went to the Court of Appeals where Kevin won my case with his knowledge and understanding of the law. You would be hard pressed to find a better attorney then Kevin Byrd. He is reliable and trustworthy and you can could on him to do the best job possible. He understands the law!

This attorney and his staff were wonderful. He was clear about what I was getting myself into and what I had to do to get a bankruptcy discharge. He achieved the release of all my bills through the bankruptcy process. He and his staff were professional, kind and considerate of my situation throughout. His legal assistant patiently walked me through all of the paperwork that is required for bankruptcy and really helped me out.

Takes your retainer fee, then you never hear from him again. Called and left numerous messages, no reponse,always too busy even before going to court with your case. Staff seems nice at first, then start backing up and lying to you. Do not trust with your case, has no direction but to wait and see what happens. Then what happens is not very good in your interest, he drops you as a client. What a jerk.

I was pleased with this attorney's handling of my case, which involved substantial assets and some fairly complicated parenting issues. He assisted me in achieving the result I wanted and was far less expensive than I thought the case would be. I recommend Mr. Byrd. He has a pleasant staff and they always returned my phone calls.
