My experience with this attorney wasn't good! $3500 and basically only filed a response to the other party on my behalf in the beginning of proceedings, and then withdrew from my case right before trial due to late payment issue, but was paid in full before his date of intent to withdraw due to said late payment. This attorney operates in phases, so prices are not a flat fee, he charges extra during the most important parts of your case being the discovery process. The other party sent me a packet for Interrogatories information, which I filled out on my own.... kevin didn't even send out anything on my behalf for interrogatories for the other party... Kevin didn't do anything except collect his $3500 "flat fee" and then withdraw.. Now I had to find another Attorney to move forward with my case, look through all the things Kevin didn't do and try to recoup for a good outcome for my divorce proceedings. I'm sure I will revisit this experience with Kevin along with a complaint to the bar on the way he runs his law firm unethically.... I also think depending on the attorney of the other party Kevin may feel intimidated going up against a good attorney, so he avoids being good counsel on his clients behalf. Save your money and look elsewhere, look for transparent attorneys who are upfront and don't nickle and dime you every step of the way with "phases". Update as of June 11, 2024 Kevin Byrd charged me $316 for filing fee, but today in court I found out the "respondent" is NOT charged filing fee, only the petitioners pays the filing fee... Mr. Byrd has some explaining to do! I've also hire a legal malpractice attorney.

DO NOT LISTEN TO RITA!!!!!!! I hired this Attorney in October of 2021. I had high hope at first but that took an unexpected turn as we got closer to going to hearing. He took advantage of my lack of understanding of what to look for in an attorney. This attorney only focus on what I initially said rather than the full scope of his oath when dealing with the case. I asked him multiple times on what we could do with the delay of the other party. He never gave me what was best and he played word games with me when trying to deal with this case and didn't give me anything of value. He did not advise me what to say when petitioning my response to the other party. He did not advise of all things that could be done under the retainer. He never advised about possible dismissal of the entire case complete because laws the were breeched in the earlier hearings and trials. He uses a flat rate retainers to trap individuals of engaging in family court and do as little as possible. he did not up hold his oath in our dealings. From what I witnessed, this attorney is most likely to commit malpractice and/or ineffective counsel to his clients. This attorney engages in cutting corners that can cause catastrophic failure in winning a case against another party and opposing attorneys. In hearings, he lets the other party and the judge talk over him to eliminate any possibility of allowing you to be heard which is a violation of oath. This attorney does not care about family law outcomes and adjacent matter that he may handle. While I worked with this attorney there were staffing which also attributed to turnovers. Triecy was the worst paralegal to work with at this firm and should be fired. The one who left the firm mid case was great but she did not transfer any notes or other information to Treicy. Treicy kept removing things from the motion forms that would have helped me as per advice of another attorney's at other firms. The only paralegal who was worth speaking to Shauna but she was never assigned to my case and she seem to have the most understanding of how my case should have been handled. She should start her own firm if she is up to it. The receptionist was great. They did not refund me for their dubious behavior. This firm is a quick cash grab and they do not care about outcome of legal proceedings even when they deliberately cut corners. They do everything in their power to avoid trail so that they do not commit ineffective counsel. This firm advised against legal requirement and coerced me to provide other information not needed. They also advised against law and case law about having to pay the other parties attorney fees. This firm as per the actions of the attorney and some other employees of the firm, have shown me that they participate in the toxic family court culture. I would not recommend this firm. Edited & Addition: I had someone reach out to me about my review seen above this point and I didn't seem to worthy to mention this until reach out to me via social media about this. She had express nearly identical concerns to me. However she reminded me of something I had failed to mention in my initial review. This Law office used a character by the name of Rita to entice potential clients into using their services. She claims that it is better for you have a flat rate rather than pay by the hour. This is done so that Kevin Byrd can easily weasel out of legal contracts.

Kevin and his associates have been the greatest team to have by my side during my recent guardianship case. My case started as a simple guardianship hearing that quickly grew (due to matters out of our control) into a year-long ordeal. Although my case came with some heartaches before triumphs; I never felt like I was alone. Everyone in their office genuinely cared about the outcome of my case. Ali In particular always a phone call or email alway; I never waited long for responses, even if She did not have an answer for me at that very moment. She was there for my quick questions, there for my ideas & even there for a few venting sessions; to which I truly appreciated after the loss of my spouse. Although this was one of the most difficult times of my life, Kevin & Ali truly made this a strengthening experience for me; Due to their due diligence, attention to detail, willingness to act and passion put into the work.

I was thinking about hiring him to help me out with my case but now I'm glad I didn't is secretary an older lady made me feel like home she was really informed but when I was talking to him for the interview he made me feel guilty on the spot when I wasn't I was trying to talk to him about my innocence need an even believe me not just that I think he's working for my wife the person that I want to go talk to him about and as a lawyer I don't think you should work for another party of the exact same guy that you

A friend of mine was previously using them. After having three different paralegals, and really poor communication, they informed her that they are withdrawing service, and that they have completed phase 1 and do not intend to continue with phase 2. Never heard of phase 1 or two, but they dreamed it up and screwed her right in the middle of her divorce before she had a chance to get the GAL or anything. They are not professional definitely not supportive of somebody with disabilities.

Mr. Byrd was extremely helpful with my divorce. Although my husband was lying throughout the entire process, Byrd brought all of the evidence to court professionally and defended me entirely. It was amazing what he did for me, he took notes on everything that happened. He presented the case professionally and truthfully. I would recommend him to the entire world, he's an excellent lawyer.

Will work with you on price and is super affordable but you get what you pay for. He has 100 cases going on and no time for you. Be aware. Especially in custody battles. LOOK ELSEWHERE
