I'm in the middle of a custody battle in family law against my child's mother. She has done nothing but make up lies and stories about me and my fiance. Kathryn has done nothing short of fighting hard to ensure I keep my child in my care while we continue the momentum forward in gaining full custody. Kathryn is no slouch in the courtroom and is very passionate about what she does. I tried to go it alone through ex parte but was failing. I drove to her office living in mill creek myself seeking some guidance I needed for a beyond normal child custody situation in snohomish county. Hired her for an hour to get all my papers into pdf format and also organized. I had like 300 pages of crap and she got all the important stuff together super fast. One pile of papers for court and one pile to turn into pdf format so I can serve someone across the country. Without her I'd be lost in the ocean. I got great news at my court date a few weeks later regarding my child and I couldn't have been happier with her service.

Kathryn B Abele saved my life and taught me what it meant to be an officer of the court. This compassionate woman jumped in my case when everyone else backed off on me considering the seriousness of the allegations of my case. My vicious and nasty Ex wife and her attorney accused me of molesting my biological daughter after I held them in contempt of court for obstructing my parenting time two days prior to EX making the molestation allegation as a tactic to take me out of the picture. They were asking a life ban for contact with my six year old daughter. they frivolously filed a DVPO both in carolina and in Wa. I witnessed my six year old coached by the mother and be questioned by detective and medical professionals for something that I never ever imagined in my life. Kathryn walked with me and had my back and never failed to pick up my phone calls or get back to me even after work hours. With tenacity and professionalism she demolish the lies orchestrated by Ex and her lawyer in court. The judge ruled at my favor and called out EX and her lawyer on their nasty lies and their tactic as a retaliation and wit to win sole custody which would allow Ex to continue receiving hefty monthly child support and not participate on my long distance transportation fees. Thanks to Kathryn I still continue to actively play a fatherly role in my daughter's life and continue to be the father I was called to be. I've gotten to know Ms. Abele throughout my divorce proceedings. I can tell you that she has a very good, kind heart. And she is smart as a whip. My husband threatened me time and again to take money away from me if I got a lawyer. It almost worked. I hired Ms. Abele who quickly reassured me that this could not happen. She was able to get me everything I needed and deserved from a 22 year marriage with a scoundrel. I've seen people remark on Ms. Abele's disciplinary hearing. Why refer to something in the past? Why not simply speak to her skills (or lack thereof) as a lawyer? I find it to be cruel. Is Ms. Abele different? Yes. But I have learned to see past a person's obvious exterior and see within. There is no room in this world for 'different', which I find unfortunate. I truly believe, based on what I have observed in Ms. Abele, that she was unfairly judged. To find her intentionally disruptive was ignoring the wide spectrum of human behavior. She is loud. She can get too emotional. But that doesn't make her a bad attorney. If you want a well behaved lawyer, don't hire her. If you want a GREAT lawyer who will save/win you money, then do.

I couldn't be happier with Kathryn Abele. What an amazing attorney. She cared about me and not the money. I knew I made the right decision when Kathryn told me that she would only drop me if I lied to her. She doesn't care about money. Money was always the last thing we talked about. Kathryn didn't want a huge retainer. That also showed me she cared about me and not the money. Kathryn charged me $2000 for my divorce AND to get a DVPO dismissed. Not only did I completely win my divorce and my ex wife got $0 from me I also kept all of my property without having to split anything with my ex wife but Kathryn also got my DVPO completely dismissed because Kathryn proved that the only reason my ex wife got the DVPO was to gain leverage in the divorce. I couldn't be happier with Kathryn. If you want someone that cares about YOU hire Kathryn. I also spent a little time reading through her reviews. I noticed a 1 star review from someone named Jessica on 02-22-2021 the same day we got our final divorce papers. Hmmmm my ex wifes name is Jessica. And my ex wife just lost everything she was asking for. I am willing to bet that the 1 star review came from my ex wife Jessica. The reason I say that is because my ex wife wanted 10k in lawyers fees. Not only that but before I even hired a lawyer I offered my ex wife money to pay for any fees if she would just stop lying and we ended our marriage civily. Jessica didn't want that. Jessica wanted to fight. And she went and lied and got a false DVPO. Coincidence....I dont think so. So please don't listen to the review from Jessica on 02-22-2021. It is a false review and a lie. So if you want an attorney that cares about you and not what's in your wallet and will go over and beyond without asking for more money, hire Kathryn Abele.

I found kathrynn online at some law website when searching for legal help for a case where my sons mother was attempting to take him out of the stats after 5 years of coparenting with no prior indication to me. Kathryn helped me cut costs whenever possible and in the end helped me win what I believed to be a difficult case. After proving that what my son would be leaving behind in Washington was WAY more significant than the promise of a steady home for his mother away from all of his family and friends. A tumultuous 6 months later and a hell of a battle. Kathrynn always kept me informed on any potential costs or conflicts and allowed me to do some work for myself to help cut costs once again. I did whatever I could. There was no way I could let the other half of my life leave. Eventually we settled last week. I was not named the primary pareny but it was determined I was his primary male role model(whatever that means, his father) and we would continue with out 50/50 schedule that had been maintained for the past 3 years until this case. Kathrynn has an attitude and healthy obsession with the law and getting justice for her clients in whatever way possible. She was professional throughout, upfront and helped me immensely. Id recommend her to anyone with family law concerns. As soon as i posted on the law website the first time 2 minutes later I was on a free phone consultation and doing everything I could before even paying a cent. Kathryn is lazer focused and works insanely hard. In the end I couldn't be happier. I get to stay with my son in Washington and everything has worked out as best as I could of wished.

I won full custody of my children thanks to her hard work and dedication. She worked tirelessly and efficiently through my case. Ensuring she knew every detail. In Oct 2017, Kathryn entered our very COMPLEX De Facto case. It was extremely messy and stressful. Kathryn immediately took on the case, knowing that despite what had already occurred, in the favor of our opposing counsel, she could help to overturn the actions already taken.
