I decided to use Rickert mediation services largely due to the fact that Retired Judge Rickert could speculate on the minds of court with some degree of accuracy. He did that and for that I was thankful, but it came with a pressure from his point of view that made me feel like I was not in a neutral space. I didn’t take into consideration, his experience would dictate a course of action that amounted to pressuring me into a position I was not interested in taking. I appreciated the banter, but he unnecessarily complimented my intelligence to warm me to his personality and felt it was insincere and not necessary. I hope in the future he can maintain giving his knowledge but allowing people to be ok with having their opinions. In the future if there is another custody mediation I’ll seek out a more progressive and forward thinking mediation service. The future is where normal functioning parents are each responsible for half of their responsibility in parenting. Dads are ok to parent too. In his words, “the impression of a mother with half custody is that she isn’t fit, and if a father seeks half he’s perceived as controlling” and there may be truth in this, but it’s the responsibility of us all to change this misconception for the benefit of our children. I’m glad it’s over and he did help but I wasn’t satisfied with choosing Michael. Good luck to everyone reading this and seeking an answer to a difficult quandary.

He's done right by me with my will

From the time I came to Washington began trying to get my self on track. A big step I took this year was filing for bankruptcy I was not taught about credit or how important of a impact it would be on my life as a grown adult in society. So i fell into some hardships garnishments affected my pay check fell behind on bills and struggled. Thanks to Mark and our 7-8 month case I will officially be done next week or two and be discharge to start my new line of credit and new finical journey. Along the way I have learned saving budgeting also better money management.
