I hired Ms. Doerner to explore a custody change despite her mixed reviews, understanding that the family law experience can inspire strong emotions. My experience however, was consistent with the criticisms. Prior to hiring her I was told what I wanted to hear. Afterward, communication was extremely poor. I didn’t need my hand held, but her office was just not responsive. During the rare meeting, I was talked at rather than listened to. Filing took months. The process was disorganized. The strategy was never provided so I racked up extensive charges a) asking for direction, and b) providing useless information. We drafted and filed unnecessary documents. When I asked about inconsistencies, I was told that she hadn’t said what she’d previously told me. The bulk of her effort during the hearing was reiterating what had previously been litigated, then she could not respond to the (clearly irritated) commissioner when he asked specifically for justification for the hearing. Afterward, I received all the months of bills at once. I am left with the impression that Ms. Doerner did not have time or attention for my case. I cannot speak to her legal abilities or advice since those were never really demonstrated to me.

I hired Joanna to make a correction in my child birth certificate and add her father to it. I paid her 2 weeks and she has yet to call me back. I've sent multiple emails and left her a voice mail and still haven't heard back from her. I requested a refund. I almost feeling she scammed me.

Mari is a wonderful attorney. She is calm, and collected when it's most important. She doesn't make false promises, and will be real with you on potential outcomes and timelines. She stuck with me even without consistent monthly payments through a long drawn out divorce. Before entering the court room, she told me what to expect, and she never disappointed me.

Mari Doerner was my assigned attorney in a simple matter. She dragged it out over almost two years without doing anything except collecting her fees. I would never use her again.

This attorney has cost my husband thousand of extra money because she wouldn't do her part in a timely fashion and to date still is holding up the process by not signing a doocument to close this case. Which will cost my husband even more if we have to file a motion to take her to court to force her to appear in order to get her signature. Beware all who come in contact with this women she is so unethical in her practices. Please if you have experienced these kinds of interactions before with her please let's all hold her accountable and report her miss conduct to the bar

Everybody there ducks except for Rachel she is one of the most amazing law assistants ever but Bella on the other hand is one of the worst ever she slapped me on the but so hard on the way out me behind was red for 3 days.

Working with Marni on my Divorce was frustrating to say the least but working with her Assistant Olivia was hell. She is completely rude on the phone and dismissive of my concerns. She made numerous mistakes that my new lawyer has had to correct. Olivia is condescending and treats the client like they are idiots that should trust everything she says. I quit working with Marni and went to a new Lawyer after paying Marni far to much for my frustration and very little actual legal advice or work. After working with another fantastic Attorney I am amazed at the difference. For the same amount I paid Marni for a total of about 40 min with her and 2 hours with her incompetent assistant I have received about 10 Hrs of strategic advice and knowledge form my new lawyer. Marni appears sweet and soft spoken when you meet her but cares very little about helping you.

Mari Doerner is a horrible lawyer. She was hired to represent me and failed to do so. When Kenneth from smeared her in court, she then decided to stop representing me. Her "legal assistant" is a kid from high school, Olivia, and she is the literally the hardest person to deal with. Not only will she hang up on you, her declarations that she writes are tantamount to a first grader level. Multiple times I asked Mari to contact me and she refused to do so. Multiple times I asked Olivia to give me more than 30 minutes of time to review her sub-par declarations. Stay away from this lawyer. All you will do is waste your money and your time.
