I would advise anyone who is going through a divorce or child custody issues to retain Morris Sockle. My attorney, Paul Posadas was professional and very responsive. I plan on utilizing Paul's services for all of my future divorce and child custody needs. He gets results!

I have nothing but positive things to say about Katrina Otto, Attorney and her paralegal, Stephanie Baumann. For one, they treated me with kindness, compassion, and were truly sympathetic to my situation. Going through a divorce with a kid is no easy task. Navigating the family judicial system is completely horrible if one is not familiar with what to do, especially when litigation is part of the process. Katrina was able to guide me through and she was super professional and knowledgeable about the law. I cannot thank her enough for helping me out during the most difficult time in my life. Thank you, Katrina and Stephanie. I really don't know what I would have done without you.

Paul represented me through an fairly contentious divorce proceeding that went all the way through to trial. Paul was reassuring every step of the way, and helped keep me at ease throughout a difficult process. Being from the east coast, I prefer a much more adversarial strategy in legal matters, but Paul's approach was spot on. He doesn't focus on the sniping - he focuses on the facts and the law and wields them artfully in court. In fact, in hindsight, his strategy yielded pretty strong results. Every time we stepped into court on a motion hearing, I came out with more time with my kids. And at trial - I was awarded most of what I requested. Paul is extremely organized, and despite his large caseload, he was always prepared for my case. I appreciated that he always seemed on top of things, took copious notes, and stuck to his strategy of the facts and the law. Finally, Paul kept me sane. My ex repeatedly pulled stunts with the children, and my anxiety was always at the next level. Through all my anxiety and stress, it was talking to Paul that made me feel better about the case because he always reminded me of the facts and the law and what could and couldn't be done. I have referred - and will continue to refer - my friends and acquaintances to him for legal services.

Karina was very professional and kind. They helped me without wasting my time and simplified things as needed. All the documents were completed quickly, and the staff was very friendly and responsive.

I loved working with Katrina Ott and Ashley!!! They helped me through the divorce process answering all of my questions and concerns and being transparent about the costs of things And what I needed to do to help them help me. I loved that they were there for me when I needed the help. They were not pushy and let me know what needed to be done next in the divorce process As time went on. They helped me find another lawyer when I requested this for my will and trust and Followed through on all of the conversations we had that needed additional help or information. I appreciated them and would recommend them to anyone.

The paralegal working at this firm, Syndi, was very helpful with information regarding my case. Unfortunately I couldn’t say the same for Paul Posadas. He misread the information in my case and kept repeating himself with issues that I wasn’t concerned with. I felt most of the consultation was him talking over me. Unfortunately he contradicted his own team and was the only attorney to tell me the exact opposite of what other attorneys have said in the past. When he answered the phone initially he did not introduce himself and when asked he only stated his title. I found my interaction with him to not be helpful or informative and very confusing due to the fact that he was reading my case information wrong. I can’t speak for the other attorneys but if they are anything like Syndi then I would be happy with them. Unfortunately Paul was not the attorney for me.

Morris-Sockle missed 5 stars because of their "pay first" model and their lack of communicating how communication will work when going through any legal process with them. My case was a divorce and Morris-Sockle is advertised as "Divorce Lawyers for Men" and "Premier" divorce attorneys, so I felt I had the right lawyers for me. In the end, I did. I was amazed how well Katrina Otto knew my situation and I felt I needed her representation to the end. I'm glad I did not go with another attorney despite the frustration I had with her and the agency. First lesson I learned was that what I was doing was not exciting...it was scary and depressing. People need to know that divorce lawyers do not provide comfort along with representation. They do not provide a shoulder to cry on or will not check with you every day just to see how you are doing. Also, divorce takes time. They will not contact you unless there is something to report. It doesn't mean they don;t care. I'm a school teacher and it would be impossible to communicate minor updates with every parent every day. It is just good for people to know this going in and to keep it to business only relationship. Again, it may seem that they only want money and don't care but there is nothing really good about why you are hiring them---except they are good at representing you and get the job done. I recommend Katrina Otto because she does care and gets the job done.

Hey I'm speaking from experience, im going threw the worst things imaginable, and this law firm has done everything to turn it around. Ms. Ottoman has gone above and beyond and has gotten things in motion that seemed like were never going to happen. Their practice is there to help people. The atmosphere is great and each lawyer and paralegal I've met has worked so hard on my case that now I couldn't be happier. Now that's not always going to be the case for everyone but rest assured that with out a doubt they will stop at nothing to help you out on your case. I would recommend this law firm to anybody going threw this kind of situation, to me they are more than worth it!

I live in South Fl. I took in my nephews to prevent them from being a part of the foster care system. In taking in the children from Washington state, I discovered one of the children was being abused by his biological father. I had to take action to protect this child. Since the children were born in WA and the courts cases were establish in WA, it left me looking for an attorney in WA from FL. Initially Katrina was wonderful. She followed up with me after my free consultation. She listen to me and took on a complicated case. A mother in AZ, a Father in GA, a child from WA, and their Guardian in FL. The initial retainer was 3000. They demand a replenish fee after the retainer, of a min of 2000. When I initially spoke with Katrina I voiced how important it was to protect this child from abuse, but I did not agree with the replenishment fee. The case defiantly got complicated with all parties fighting me as a guardian of the child. This racked up my bill for sure. The biggest issue was Katrina not following up with me, or returning my calls, unless I emailed her with cap letters informing her it was the 2nd and or 3rd attempted of me trying to reach her. Let me WARN YOU...every single second will cost you. Katrina will not discuss anything with you, with out charging you. If you have a 5 min call with Katrina you will be charged her 250 an hour fee divided in 5 min it took to inform you of the case. Every email will cost you, and if the opposing party decided to drop of documents to Katrina, with out your consent, Katrina will review everything, charge you for the time it took her to review the documents, then inform you the documents provided. She will then charge you when you call with questions, and because the opposing party did not have council, she takes it upon her self to accept all documents and charge you for her time. Katrina knows the documents dropped off by the opposing party, non represented, were not filed to the courts and a moot point however, she still takes them in, and charges you for her time. She has allowed the opposing party to rack up my bill, even though she should be repressing me. Her para legal is 100 an hour, but Katrina makes sure she handles the admin work which will cost you double. Katrina should have denied all documents from the opposing party and allow them to either hire council, or represent themselves, but she did not. She left an open door policy for the opposing party to call her, email her and send documents to her, as I AM the one paying her bill. When the case went to a hearing, through default of the opposing party not having council, we did gain temp custody of my nephews. However, two months after the case, I did not hear from Katrina once. I received another 2,000 invoice for many many fees that were not really to service me, but to take opposing information and charge me for it. Keep in mind I am receiving invoicing but I have not heard, in two months for Katrina. I asked to speak with Katrina on October 1, to see where we go from here. The after was suppose to pay child support to us as his guardians and he hasn't, Katrina never enforced it or followed up. However, she wants her 2000 bill paid and wants another 2000 to sit in the firms account for future services. Why would I ever do that when she can't even call me back, or follow up on the case??? Therefore, I informed her bookkeeper that I will pay the remainder owed in payments and I will not just let 2K sit in their account. Katrina received these concerns and emails, and NEVER picked up the phone to speak with me. Instead, she filed a withdrawal of representation to the courts, and sends me a copy of it!!!!! That all. No phone call nothing, she just decides to drop the case. I would have defiantly went with better council. After more research in dealing with Katrina, there are much better attorneys out there. I would NOT hire Katrina if you are looking for council.
