Yall can fool yourself this guy is pathetic disrespectful and a joke and believe me when i say this i will have his job he bull shits through his teeth constantly cries wolf about being sick and i will be pulling all reviews and video recordings of his representation and taking them in front of the judge and the state governor and representatives as well as posting it all on every social media websites the best thing i got out this guy was the ratings he has and the laughs i got of being better off hiring your own belly button lint. He doesnt deserve his license especially when i who never studied law knows more about rcw and rights than he does.... Hes a pathetic waste of time and human life sorry not sorry.

At the beginning of my case with Mr. Bougher, he was very helpful, informative, and all around a great guy. Far better than the only other attorney I've had. However, I've made 10-20 attempts between each hearing to contact him and he never responds. He then goes into the hearing and tells the Judge I'm the one who's failing to communicate. It's hard to recommend someone who behaves like this despite my first impression of him being so good.

I hired Scott as my divorce attorney back in April. He sounded like a very promising lawyer and knowledge, dressing was questionable. After the first court hearing which I watched him shake while talking to the judge and other attorney, he went mute and told me he is in the hospital. There was no communication about the case. In November I was tired and ready to move on. I went to present my divorce documents myself. Scott got angry at me when I told him what I did and he send the papers to the other lawyer with words “this document was prepared by my clinical. She is from Somalia and does not know American laws.” I had to correct him and tell him I have never been to Somalia. I was shocked when he told me I am from Nigeria again I had to tell him I am not from Nigeria and he should take me as a client and know what I want and need and stop assigning me countries. I had the feeling he has no clue whom he was presenting. He would also tell me things like “you married your ex deal with it” this happens when I tell him to let my ex’s lawyer know that my ex has not given me his address as the parental plan required .on the last meeting with Scott, he started yelling at me told me he was going to get a lawyer and sue me for putting a review online then after talking about how he will sue me he asked me if that was a treat . Scott would not pick my calls will not return missed calls and even emails. I fired him after the incident. If you want peace of mind do not hire him.

I have to laugh at these negative reviews for Scott. I've known him for several years and he's given me advice countless times. One thing that his clients CAN count on is his candor and straightforwardness. Yeah, that might FEEL like he's being rude, but in the long run an attorney who doesn't tell you what's going on isn't serving you well.

I was super happy with representation from Scott Bougher. I was up for a serious traffic issue, totally my fault. He spent a lot of time on my case, patiently answered questions by email and in person, and he was able to get my case dismissed. You can’t ask for s better result than that. I would hire him again.

Mr. Bougher was assigned to me as my public defender. I had received what I felt was a ridiculous charge. Assault 4 for tossing an item of makeup that accidentally hit the victim’s leg. This incident was told to police two months later by a third party who hadn’t witnessed it. The “victim” had confirmed an item was thrown when asked but had made no complaint about it and didn’t feel “assaulted.”
I met with a private attorney first who skimmed my email then cut me off when I tried to explain. I was told they would offer me a slap on the wrist and it would go away. I felt like I should go to trial since I was innocent. No point, I was told. Too risky. And my first public defender was not much help either. He told me to agree to a no contact order so I could “stay out of jail.” Out of jail? Was that even an option? Did he read my case?
After my arraignment I met with Scott Bougher. I was prepared to have my name forgotten and facts confused and told I should make a deal.
I met him at his office and he took me out to coffee at the courthouse where he pulled up any information he could to help my case. He told me all the different scenarios of what could happen, what my options were and he said ofcourse he would take it to trial. He also explained better what the private attorney had said earlier about a deal. I had a few meetings with Scott. Each one more than an hour. He never cut me off once and answered every question I had with smart answers explaining details about the charges and the procedures I never would have thought of.
He was real good about answering texts. He knew which judges would most likely do certain things or what they expected. He made sure I was prepared for court. He negotiated things with the prosecutor so that I didn’t have to plea to anything, I had to pay court fees and take a class. Scott was always prepared to take it to trial. He actually had a little technicality up his sleeve that would have gotten the whole thing thrown out. This guy is smart. He knows his stuff! But I just wanted it to be over and he worked out the best deal, my best outcome. I felt really lucky I got him for my public defender. I read the other two reviews on here about him in disbelief. If I ever have a run in with the law I will call Scott Brougher.

Scott represented me a few years back for DUI and the whole thing was a debaucle. He was fired by his firm in middle of representing me, he got into an argument with me outside of court and refused to do as I asked talking to me like a child. He constantly accused me of breaking my diversion agreement with facts that were obviously someone else’s cases. Pulling teeth to get him to respond or handle anything in a timely fashion. Absolutely awful lawyer. Do not hire him.

I had a consultation with scott over the telephone he changed the price of his original hourly wage and charged us 400 dollars for a phone conlsultation which consisted of him talking about cases he covered with mimnimum relevance to mine. I would neverbrecomend this attorney unless your into paying an arm and a leg just to hear him talk about whatever he feels.

I was assigned Mr Bougher as a PD, I made numerous attempts at reaching him, finally I was able to meet him, I made a comment about finally meeting him to which he took great offense, It went down hill from there. Mr. Bougher was not interested in representing me, my case was postponed twice because Mr Bougher was not ready after having been assigned this case 3 months prior. In one Hearing before the Judge, the Judge asked me if I had any comments or questions to which answered yes! I asked Mr Bougher if he is representing me why is it that the alleged victim had not been deposed so that he could get the facts. Mr Bougher became notably angry, the Judge noted that I had questions for Mr Bougher and suggested we meet in private quarters, we did meet in private quarters, Mr Bougher yelled at me and called me a jerk, a coward, he told me that how dare I question him in front of the Judge, He offered to quit then ( Who quits?) . I should have fired him then, but I didn't have the luxury to hire another attorney. Mr. Bougher gave me the impression of being there to bill hours, Mr Bougher was highly incompetent in representing me and my interests, he did not have plan to represent me and litigate for my exoneration, he assumed I was guilty and recommended a plead deal, why would an attorney offer his client to take a plea deal before getting the facts? . I declined a plea deal, I wanted him to litigate for exoneration, but he did not he refused. What kind of attorney offers to quit instead of litigating and grant a defendant the defense he or she is owed when the attorney is being payed for? I pity the man.
