He literally doesn’t care about being a public defender. I admire his work but if you get him as a defender just know he won’t spend time on your case at all

Be warned, if you are a college student requiring his services for minor infractions, he will be dismissive, sound bored, and do absolutely NOTHING to help your cause. He'll take you 500-1K and let whatever the prosecutors want to have happen, happen. This man took my money, rarely answered my calls, barely communicated, and left me with nothing despite a totally defensible case. Even after the decision, he FAILED to send me any court documents about the resolution, and stopped answering my calls. I had to track them down myself at the courthouse. I can't speak to his performance for high-dollar situations but if you're a college student looking for help, don't bother - you're not worth his time after you write the check.

Roger Sanderg helped me out of pretty serious bind in the Fall of 2014 and parts of 2015 in relation to a temporary restraining order (TRO). Roger did an excellent job of throwing out the TRO the first time around in court and later on put together an agreement in which all parties could go about their daily lives. While doing all of this, Roger remained professional, hard-working, and always put together a excellent defense strategy. He was fairly easy to contact whenever I had questions and responded right away when he missed my calls. Without the help of Roger, my situation would have been a lot harder to get through. I would always recommend Roger to handle any type of case presented to him and to defend anyone.

We hired Mr. Sandberg to defend us at a hearing where there were a number of false accusations against us. He was able to catch the accuser as he perjured himself on the witness stand. I've never seen anything like it. Mr. Sandberg was remarkable in action. I would highly recommend Mr. Sandberg. His verbal skill and intelligence were evident during the hearing. His cost was extremely reasonable and he had a great deal of patience as he walked us through the ordeal. He is worth his weight in gold. We are so grateful we hired him!!

Mr. Roger Sandberg was kind enough to speak with me over the phone regarding a baseless small claims action filed against me by my ex-boyfriend. He was happy to provide reassurance that my ex did not have a case and understood that I wanted to ensure I took appropriate action. As a graduate student I am financially limited but his fees are very affordable. Mr. Sandberg provided me with advice on how to proceed over the phone and then met with me the very next business day. As the case evolved, Mr. Sandberg was only a phone call away and was easy to reach and provided helpful advice on how best to approach the case. The case was eventually dropped, thankfully. But in the midst of the stress and emotional toll, it was hugely reassuring to know that Mr. Sandberg was on my side, easy to contact, quick to respond and provided reassurance and legal expertise to help me through a difficult time. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of legal services. I hope I do not ever encounter another legal situation, but if I did, Mr. Sandberg would be the first person I would call for assistance.

Retained Roger for a hearing to set temporary parenting plan and child support order. At the last minute he decided to ditch the argument I'd been preparing and we had made in our submission. His approach was immediately thrown out as inadmissible. He also didn't realize how important the temporary plans are for setting a baseline on the permanent orders. Maybe he has learned something in the past couple of years, but his representation was incompetent in my case. He also completely bungled a relocation case for a friend. I would not recommend for family law.
