We hired Asa after being strung along by someone else. Asa took over the job ( parenting plan where the other side was not in agreement) and went above and beyond what we expected. He was straight forward, honest, made everything easy to understand, he was easy to get ahold of via e-mail, phone, or appt, and the best is he completed everything in a short period of time! Asa represented me in a Third-Party Custody case for my child. This case involved detailed case law and a complicated case history. Throughout the years, I had retained several attorneys for this case and I became familiar with the process of investing a lot of hope and a lot of money, only to sometimes end up feeling "stuck" and worried throughout the proceedings. Attorneys in family law often deal with the lives and futures of their clients' loved ones and Asa seems to have a genuine respect for this. I believe Asa has a great passion for law, (as does his legal assistant too!), and is in the best possible field for his character. Asa has a noticeably strong confidence, yet is very personable and down-to-earth. Asa's in-court presence is sharp and friendly, his preparedness for our hearing was (literally) remarkable and his arguments were really well articulated and strong. Outside of court, all calls and emails were always returned the same day or early the next morning. Asa answered questions quickly and he was very patient and easy to talk with. Asa was completely on top of the case, and that was such a relief after years of worry before him! Asa is just simply a very good attorney.

He wasn't just doing his job. He was really on our side and really cared. I had to put a restraining order on someone. Although I did not "need" a lawyer, we still wanted to make sure it was done right. At one point I was in tears do to the upcoming hearing, I don't do well with stress, and he took my call and told me what he felt. And possible outcomes. I am in a custody battle with domestic violence included and the father filed in his county the same time I filed in mine. Asa not only helped get the case dismissed in the father's county but helped get an unnecessary restraining order against me to my son lifted and I got to see my son again, rightfully so! He was clear and responded to emails and phone calls promptly, if he didn't hear from me, he called to let me know he was trying to get in touch and would email as well to ask when a good time to speak would be.
