I cannot say enough great things about this firm. I worked with Dave, but it seems the whole firm pitched in to get this thing done pronto. We received our settlement in less than a month, check in hand, and made a quick file at my request due to statue of limitations concerns on a real property title issue. I am an attorney, but not this kind, and I feel fortunate to have just stumbled on this firm. I now refer my clients to this firm for their real property issues (already referred one person). I would highly recommend them for your property matter.

My neighbors and I hired Dave and his firm after trying unsuccessfully to get the contractor who built our houses in 2015 to correct significant construction defects. Dave got us a remarkable settlement, especially considering the state of the contractor's insurance and corporate structure, his general unwillingness to work with us, multiple, unreachable subcontractors, and other assorted difficulties. Dave is highly professional, practical, responsive, effective, and committed to doing right by his clients. His staff is pleasant and efficient. His services are expensive; he is mindful of this and careful with his clients' money. During our engagement, we also interacted with Katie Comstock. She, like Dave, was responsive and extremely knowledgeable. I would absolutely recommend this firm.

In May 2017 my condo had a water leak in the kitchen. The leak was originating from the unit upstairs. After months of stall tactics by the HOA and HOA's insurance company I know I needed to take action. A friend of my referred me to Dave Von Beck "AKA the Hammer". Dave got right to work on my case and kept me in the loop the entire time. Once Dave notified all the parties they were quick to resolve payment for the water leak damages. If you want a great attorney that knows condo “by laws” and know how to handle HOA’s then Dave is the attorney for you.

During a kitchen remodel, we found major water intrusion damage to one of the units of our small, four-unit condominium. When our insurance company denied our claim we hired Levy, von Beck and Comstock to go to battle for us. We worked directly with Dave von Beck. Dave and his firm have years of working with denied insurance claims, real estate, construction defects, and condo law. He's the ultimate expert and he's probably the most responsive and detailed professional I've ever dealt with. If I called, he'd take my call in the middle of a meeting. He answered my emails over the weekend. Everything he said was clear and made sense. He could cite and interpret crucial pieces of information in copious pages of technical engineering reports. He really shepherded us through a process that was far more complicated than we imagined. We were a small informal HOA, with no experience in dealing with anything this serious. His attention never wavered from this project, he was clearly "all in" with us. Additionally Dave has built close relationships with all the key players: He knew our insurance companies lawyer, he already knew and worked with the construction company that we chose to do the repairs. He knew when to call in an engineer and he knew and educated us (along with the excellent Katie Comstock) on condo laws that we were unaware of. He understands and speaks construction at all aspects, practical and legal. He became the hub of information, pulled everything together and kept everything moving forward. Dave is a straight-shooter, ethical and trustworthy while also being persuasive and a real bulldog. And the bottom line: he got our insurance company to pay for both the investigative work and all of the repair! I can't recommend him enough. A life saver!

We hired Dave after talking to a handful of very highly rated attorneys. Dave is calm, to the point and a take charge kind of guy. After wrangling with the builder myself for over a year and a half, we realized we were only hearing non-truths & empty promises. In less than a month after hiring Dave, we had a signed agreement with the builder. We had to take payments from the builder, but we did get the agreed upon amount, a little over half of our out of pocket expenses, but our nightmare is over. I wish we would have found/hired Dave sooner! My best advise is; VET THE BUILDER FIRST and avoid the nightmare. But if you do find yourself in a construction defect situation, by all means, call Dave von Beck.

We found Mr. von Beck and his team to be very helpful in resolving an issue that could have resulted in a lot of wasted time and money. David is knowledgeable, straightforward in his communication, and very good at describing possible actions and outcomes. He has great follow-up skill in making sure all parties follow through with deliverables and communication. I would recommend David von Beck and team to anyone seeking to resolve legal matters involving home builders or contractors in the future.

We were having some concerns about our builder. I called David von Beck's office hoping to get some advice before our next meeting. David himself was available and took my call. He gave me some great advice and I was confident going into our meeting. Luckily, we haven't needed his firm's services more beyond that consultation, but I wouldn't hesitate in hiring them if we had a bigger problem.
