I hired Duncan Millar after being refused entry to the U.S. I am Canadian and my wife is a U.S. citizen and the U.S. border was treating me like a criminal. All I wanted to do was visit my wife and get my green card. We listened to another lawyer first and filed the case in the wrong way and Duncan helped us get back in good standing with the border and he took over the case and got us our visa very quickly. He always answered my calls and emailed me back quickly. I can't say enough about how pleasant he and his assistants are. When it came time to do the green card through Seattle, his partner Dan Smith was there for us and the whole Seattle office staff welcomed us like we were old friends. When it come to immigration law, you can't afford to do it yourself, you need a friendly, knowledgeable, savvy lawyer who actually goes to the border. Duncan helped my wife and I get a K3 visa and then the green card. It was fast, organized and he handled some border complications we had created, too. I would recommend him as a lawyer. Don't try it yourself!

I hired Mr. Millar to handle a complex intracompany transfer visa. He was able to answer all of my questions and new quite a lot more than the other lawyers I had consulted with. In particular, he was able to get me the visa at the U.S. border and helped me with long-term planning and other incidental issues. I was impressed with the service, especially for the price. I would not say it was inexpensive but I felt I got full value for my money. I would recommend him to others. It did seem he was busy and at the border quite often, but I suppose this is the way to get experience.
