this lawyer refused to help me out with filing an ADA rights lawsuit and said I need to pay like 100k to hire her to do this.... don't hire her if you can't afford 100k for that. one thing that name sounds familar.. she was a nun who helped a prisoner in the past... what a shame she can't help me out. Seems she turned into greedy lawyer.

Professional is an understatement when describing my experience with this attorney. Jean Shiedler-Brown saved my life. Attorney Brown studied my case and worked on my behalf to obtain the desired legal outcome as well as using the law to keep me safe during the proceedings. I found her to be knowledgeable, professional, caring and compassionate. In my opinion, this comes from a love of what she does and a love of law and of people. I was clearly in danger and the state gave the impression that I had no options. Ms. Shiedler-Brown showed me that I not only had options, but a right to be safe in my own home. She told me that she would handle everything and to not worry. She handled my case and I did not have to worry or appear from that day forward. I felt my first relief in a very long time. Jean was very upfront and helpful from the beginning. She saved me thousands by helping me figure out the correct steps at the correct times for my case. Not only is she extremely knowledgable, but very sharp when it comes to arguing a case and I really appreciated her kind personality during such a difficult time. I would recommend Jean over any other attorneys.

I hired Ms. Brown to look over any legal claims I may have coming out of an administrative law case. Unfortunately, I hired her too late, but that's my fault and another story. In general, Ms. Brown is very knowledgable within her areas of expertise. She has a lot of experience, and it was evident in how she advised me. She looked over my materials and provided me with plenty of feedback on possible legal remedies I may have. I never did get to meet Ms. Brown in person, but over the phone and email she was courteous, understanding, and friendly. What I liked most about Ms. Brown's work is her "no bullshit" approach to legal advice. She was straight forward and put things into perspective for me, even though hearing what she had to say was not always easy.

When I got into trouble with the state and they wanted their money back, Ms. Scheidler-Brown saved my butt. First time we met, she fitted me in on an emergency basis, then said the magic words, "You don't need a lawyer yet. You need to do this and this and if they do that, then you do this, then come and see me. So I did all that and got denied, of course, then went back to Jean. With a short deadline forced on us by the state's lack of resources, she quickly made the necessary arrangements to accommodate my special needs and conducted the Administrative Law Hearing from her office. Her summation at the end was perfect. Two days later I got the ruling that the department had been reversed, and I had won. Hiring Jean Scheidler-Brown was the critical step that made that happen, and I remain forever grateful. In the process, she saved me around $7k. :-{)}

I hired Ms. Brown to give me some legal advice on an administrative law case. I paid $2.5 k for this. What I expected was at least a well-written memo, exploring the legal issues involved. What I got was a poorly written email. This thing was composed of cryptic reference to some legal theories. It barely even made sense. And it was filled with whole bunch of spelling mistakes. I would not hire this attorney again, ever.

Jeanne is a professional and highly intelligent attorney. Her work was outstanding. She has the ability to gain a strong understanding of a case quickly and has the experience to handle challenges effectively. I am truly grateful that she was my attorney and feel that I would strongly recommend her to anyone needing a good lawyer.

It was my extreme misfortune to have Ms.Jean Schiedler-Brown represent me in a fairly uncomplicated divorce settlement case. Both my wife and I wanted this divorce to be over quickly and in a fair fashion. In over a year and half as my attorney, Ms. Schiedler-Brown refused to speak directly to the opposing attorney in any real attempt to settle and finalize my divorce. She did not return my phone calls over that time or respond back to the numerous FAX’S I sent her in my attempt to have her act in a timely and professional manner. I believe that Ms. Schiedler-Brown basically chose to ignore my case. I later found out that the opposing attorney had transmitted some settlement offer proposals to Ms. Schiedler-Brown. I would have considered these proposals at that time but I was not informed of them. I found Jean Schiedler-Brown to be both uninformative and extremely unresponsive to my needs as a client. I subsequently fired her and obtained another attorney. Divorce is bad enough and made even worse with an incompetent attorney.

Jean is a good lawyer. She helped us with a situation with our au pair company. They were failing to live up to their end of our contract and were not cooperating with us to resolve the issue. Jean helped us negotiate the termination of the contract and got us a refund. This saved us the time and expense of filing a lawsuit. I would recommend her to anyone.

She worked on my dependency case. She sorted through all the lies my family and the social workers were telling. My kids are back with me where they belong. Great job Jean!

My wife was 8 months pregnant with our 3rd child when I got laid off from work. I wasn't able to find a job right away and we got behind on all of our bills. Ms. Scheedler-Brown stopped the forclosure on our house and helped us get back on track. We would have lost our home if it wasn't for her.
