I paid Mr. Sheridan for my divorce in 1993. Mr. Sheridan and I walked out of the courthouse and my divorce was supposedly finalized. I went to get a copy of the divorce decree for my passport documentation and I was told it was dismissed and never finalized. I'm sure there has been a mistake. Mr. Sheridan will not pull the records or help me get to the bottom of it. So 30 years later I find out I'm still married. What life implications that could bring. I paid for a divorce and was told it was done. It seems Mr. Sheridan could at least look into what went wrong.

Jack is an intellectual warrior in court. He is nonplussed by anything the judge decides and always has an answer for what to do in response to the opposition. He is industrious often working late into the night or in the wee hours of the morning. He is adept with technology and gives professional presentations for his opening and closing arguments. When he enters evidence he is quickly ready to show the exhibits to the jury on a flat screen television so the jury has both visual and auditory presentation. Jack is considerate and capable and despite the efforts of two attorneys in opposition hired by the government, he still won my difficult case.

Jack represented me and ten others in an employment discrimation case. We were laid off in retailiation for reporting unsafe work practices. The case went to several courts and ultimately to the State Supreme Court in 2008 where we prevailed. Jack is a knowledgeable, hardworking, ethica, personable, attorney. I am proud to have him as a valued friend.

I had faced years of job discrimination in Seattle City government. I couldn't have found a better attorney. He listened and understood what I was saying. I felt that I had hired someone who was as much upset about what had happened to me as I was. There were times I felt he could answer questions about the facts of my case better than I could. He made me feel that I had an army fighting for me. A couple of times in deposition, I considered saying I was done. John's questioning in depositions was done in a way that cornered people and brought out the truth. That was so helpful to my mental health that I almost felt I didn't need to go any further. But go further, we did. John, Jack as we called him, was masterful in settlement meetings. He'd say things to keep me calm as they sat in the next room laughing loud and sending over offers I couldn't accept. During trial, when there were breaks, you could sometimes hear him humming as though the tense trial had no impact on him. The City had hired an outside law firm and City attorneys helped at trial and Jack was all alone defending me and there he was - humming. I won in superior court but the City appealed and appealed. Jack chose to stay with my case through all appeal levels to a winning conclusion. Once you are his client, Jack responds to your questions and concerns. That's helpful because the legal process is so very slow and confusing. I met a juror after my six-week trial and she told me the jury would perk up when it was Jack's turn to question people. She said he kept them awake and interested. Jack seems to love the law and the job he does. We would communicate a lot by email and it wasn't unusual to see something from him written in early morning or late at night or on weekends about some angle he was going to take or some way he was going to handle this or that. I'd joke with his assistant about him having a computer brain. What should have been very stressful, he made bearable through his perky personality and imaginative mindof. I don't think I could have gone through what I did in good health, had I not hired John Sheridan. Had I lost, I would have had no question on whether he did everything he could. When you get this guy, you've got the best out there.

Jack is the best lawyer to represent victims of corporate and government abuse and discrimination. He succeeds in fighting those who abuse power and making them accountable in front of a jury.
