Aaron was a beacon of light amidst one of the darkest moments of my life. I am not sure words alone can fully explain my experience with him as my attorney. He was kind, understanding without judgement, and most importantly, he was honest. No false promises, no legal jargon, just the facts and how he was going to do everything in his power to make the best out of a terrible situation. He communicated frequently in an open and honest manner about each and every step along the way. What struck me most about Aaron however, was his command in the court room. Often there are several lawyers and clients within one room, yet Aaron's presence and voice was far different than the other attorneys. Kevin took on a very difficult situation(s) for me and helped me fight and get the very best outcome possible. Ms. Buie was retained as GAL during child custody proceeding in 2017. She lacked professional judgement and ignored court order on GAL fee by charging $13,000 more than what was approved by court. Her excessive fees were not approved by the court nor she asked for approval to court although specific order was in place. Not only she was ineffective and unethical, but also she never showed any objectivity on her $18,000 plus report. Her report took 8 months to complete. I filed two grievance complaints against her unethical practices in 2018 and 2019. Ms. Buie certainly gets my vote as the Seattle's Worst of the Worst Guardian Ad Litem and family lawyer.

Kevin and indeed all of his office were amazing. From the moment we first talk to him about the charges, we knew we were in the right hands. He balanced making sure we knew all the possible ramifications with his calm assurances that it we were going to get the best possible out come. Kevin Thrombold and Melanie is a great team. My case in particular was a very dificult one because of my location. I was in Seattle for school and an issue arose but I went back to Wisconsin.
