After being blindsided with a request for a divorce I searched everywhere for lawyers that could help me immediately. My head began to spin with all the horror stories I heard about men's representation in divorce/parental proceedings, especially being a man of color. I was blessed to find Genevieve Davis. She immediately took my case and helped with every step of reacting to my divorce. Mrs. Davis took care of everything, and was always extremely prompt returning my calls and took her time explaining anything I did not understand (which was alot). I am aware that this is not a guarantee, but for my specific case, Mrs Davis was able to get me everything I requested specifically the time I requested with my children. She is extremely kind, excellent at her job, and most importantly empathetic. In this worst situation she got me the best results. I am forever grateful for her services.

I was blessed to find Ms. Davis and have her assistance in my Family Law case. After my ex-wife contracted a dirty and unscrupulous lawyer to “destroy my life”, as she said herself, I went through almost 2 years of fear and depression due to the threats and unimageable lies they made up about me in the process. Taking advantage of my ex-wife ignorance, her perverse lawyer kept throwing her against me, making false affirmations about myself and pushing us to go into court trials just to fill up her pockets, not caring at any moment about our mental health or even about our 5 years old daughter who was in the middle of all that. There aren't enough words to say how amazing Ms. Davis as an attorney. My case was fraught with high level conflict regarding custody of my 1 1/2 year old daughter, we were in a very unsafe living situation at the time and Genevieve took no stops to be present in her legal advice to get us out safely, she took my frantic calls on the weekends and guided my daughter and I both out of the situation (legally speaking). After our temporary parenting plan was put into place, she worked tirelessly to prepare us for our Permanent Parenting Plan. She guided me through multiple protection orders and gracefully handled harassing calls from my ex. At all times Ms. Davis remains with a level head and exceptionally thorough in navigating the intricacies of both combative relationships and the legal system itself. My daughter's father struggled with following the rules in our Temp PP and her council successfully lead us through CR2A agreements, contempt orders and even a criminal case. By the time we reached the Permanent Parenting Plan trial, we received every last thing we asked for, including the requirement of my daughter's father going to DV Dad's and Anger Management counseling. While my ex and I will never be "friends" through this process and counseling we are slowly learning to be civil. Again, do not hesitate to consider Ms. Davis as council. Her brilliant, relentless and compassionate guidance can get you the results you seek not only where you are right now, but where you want your family to be in the future.

She knew exactly what questions to ask, and guided us through a labyrinth of options - explaining things clearly and calmly. She brought a wealth of experience to our unique situation and helped us finalize all the documents we need. It started with a Free Consultation which I was able to ask any questions that I had on my mind. She gave me straight forward answers and told me how the process would go and the pitfalls that may happen. After talking with a few lawyers I decided to go with her and I have never been happier. When my case turned uglier, she was on top of it and had gathered all of the information that I needed for my court case. She went to all length to get all the information for my case that I needed to fight my side. Because of her diligence and effort I got a favorable verdict for temporary orders (so far as it is still pending). I am so grateful that I retained Genevieve Davis to help me renegotiate the terms of my original divorce decree! She walked me through exactly what was expected of me in the courtroom appearance, so I felt prepared. She stayed cool under fire in the courtroom, which helped me to maintain my composure, as well. She advocated for me, and as a result of her diligence the judge doubled the amount of child support I am receiving for my 15-year old son. My ex-husband is also required, thanks to the motion lead by Genevieve, to pay 81% of my daughter's college expenses, up to a cap established by the cost of in-state universities. In the original divorce decree he wasn't obligated to contribute towards her college at all, and he didn't intend to help her. Making him step up to the plate and help her with her college costs has improved his relationship with our daughter. I will always be grateful to Genevieve for her professionalism, her knowledge and guidance, and the help she has given to me and my children!

Genevieve Davis is such an amazing Lawyer. My case was very difficult due to all of the transitions that were encountered throughout my Parenting Plan. Originally my case started in June 2011 with a different Lawyer; in which I will not list her name. She wasn’t persistent and I found myself gathering information for her and even supplying documents to the court on my behalf. I missed several deadlines and she barely returned my phone calls or emails. In 2013 a month before my trial began, she told me she was giving my case to Genevieve Davis. To be honest, I was upset, confused and stress out only because of my experience with my original lawyer. I prayed and hope for the best and to be honest, it was more than I asked for. When my case file was given to Genevieve, it was in shambles. There was no clear view on what my past lawyer was trying to attempt…..It was just kayos. I believe everything happens for a reason and in this case God has truly blessed me with such an amazing lawyer. She was very professional, had great communication skills, attentive, persistent, knowledgeable and most important available to me. When we were getting ready for trial she created three trial folders which were very well presented. She asked me questions and also prepared me. She was very detailed in the questions she asked me in order to prepare the folders. Her opening argument was very thought-out and her closing argument was even better. She gave me so much hope throughout this entire process due to her relying all of my concern in a lawyers stand point. I am not sure how much she understands how much I valued her and her efforts. To me she was an angel that God has truly blessed me with. I would defiantly call her again if I am ever in need of her services or if I know anyone who is also in need. Thorough and genuine! Worked on child support revisions, and a rather complex case. Was impressed that she actually researched and reviewed similar cases, to be as prepared as possible. Ms. Davis was quickly able to delve through volumes of paper and information, and format it into a decisive set of documents that carefully laid everything out. She would respond quickly, and kept me informed along the way so there were no surprises. My previous attorney had her paralegal handle most of my case, and was never fully imformed or prepared.
