I was referred to Mr. Stern's office by another attorney who said he knew everything about bankruptcy law. His office was helpful and had good communication, always responding to my emails promptly.

I found Mr. Stern after having had another lawyer start my case. Once Mr. Stern took over my case it was a whole different kind of representation, the good kind. I am very pleased with Mr. Stern and thankful I found him.

Marc Stern handled our bankruptcy Chapter 13 very efficiently. We had a problem because of a prior lien on our home and our home was in foreclosure and our home was being sold, all at the same time. Marc provided a solution to allow us to complete the sale, be relieved of an unfair old debt and retrieve our equity. Marc really knows his stuff and we are very happy with his professional services. I would recommend Marc Stern to friends in the future.

I was a creditor in a bankruptcy case and needed an attorney to look out for my interest. I found Marc on a web search. When I went to see him, I had to wait 30 minutes beyond my appointment. His office looked like a tornado passed through. He had papers, boxes, mail and food all over the place. The whole time I was talking with him, he kept doing other stuff -- reading documents, email, phone interruptions etc. I remember his advice was very depressing. Basically, there was little I could do and try to settle for minimum amount. It was so institutional. After a couple of weeks with little response, I dropped him and went with another attorney, who does not do bankruptcy as a primary business. Well, I got back much more than I expected and certainly more than what Marc said I would get.
