This incredibly nice, sharp, and super knowledgeable attorney was mentioned in a recent NY Times article, which prompted me to contact her. Ms Neu spent at least 45 minutes on the phone and shared her expertise and wealth of knowledge with me. She never charged. You can tell that this is an attorney who advocates fiercely for her clients' rights. I had never hired a lawyer before but needed an advisor to help me out of the labyrinth and to establish a solid plan for my staggering student loan. My journey to Latife was first through a call to the WA Bar Association, and next to another attorney who referred her. Before our first and only visit, Latife instructed me on how to download and send my loan history so she could review my case and prepare in advance. This felt promising and allowed our in person visit to be efficient. Latife was patient and knowledgeable and took the time to make sure I understood each step of the paths she was recommending. She sent me home with two plans in case the first was unsuccessful. I was even more surprised that she very quickly responded on a couple of occasions when I later reached out with questions or concerns – even taking the time weeks later to craft a longer message to explain an interest model she thought I may need help grasping. Latife is clearly well informed of government activity regarding student loans, but is also familiar with options borrowers face, and the pitfalls & hidden advantages some routes have over others. She was pragmatic, yet supportive, very responsive and took the time to be sure I had a clear understanding of my choices. After years of run-around & disillusion, I was naturally dubious, but with Latife, I felt I was heard and presented with some sensible options. My case ended well, but I am 100% certain that had I not taken Latife’s advice I would still be in the same quagmire with no light at the end of the tunnel.
