Mr. O’Sullivan was nothing but great and informative throughout my battle with unemployment. I really appreciate the help and I definitely recommend him.

Rory helped me recover over $10k of unemployment benefits which was previously denied to me by ESD WA. I’m a long-time remote worker who decided to briefly pause my job search to focus on taking care of my spouse, who had back surgery. I also traveled overseas while continuously looking for remote work. Before hiring Rory, I researched how I could appeal my case on my own. There weren’t a lot of good sources online, and since this was my first time claiming any unemployment benefits, I decided to hire a lawyer. From the first free initial interview until the hearing day, Rory has been professional, patient, and easy to talk to. He educated me on the appeal process and set realistic expectations without overpromising. I appreciate his responsiveness and graciousness in extending our meetings as needed, which reflects his commitment to exceptional service and client satisfaction. During my hearing, he provided references to the judge of previous winning cases that were similar to my case. I believe those references greatly helped my cause. I found out about pro-bono or donation-based services like his after hiring him. That could be an option too. Knowing Rory used to work as an Administrative Law Judge on unemployment insurance appeals gave me confidence that paying for his services was worth it.

Rory O'Sullivan helped me navigate my ESD overpayment-repayment situation to success. He was calm and concise and coached me on how to answer potential questions. When the hearing call finally took place, I felt prepared and confident. At the completion of the call, the judge complimented Mr. O'Sullivan for being so prepared. I would 100% recommend! He was very professional and very knowledgable about the process/system. Mine was a long shot since I was claiming after 3 years but he diligently took time to understand the situation , quick responses for any questions i may have and helped preparing on how to answer during the hearing. I also wanted to mention after the hearing was done, he went above and beyond on walking me thro how to file the weekly claim, making sure I had all that I needed to file my claims and received my money. He is very kind and definitely cares for his clients. Really thankful for the extra help!

Rory was with a firm that I hired at the beginning of what is proving to be an extended process. While I still feel confident that I am the firm I am with is a good one, I have missed working with Rory there. I feel a bit less aware of what is going on with my case and on occasion caught off guard by the direction in which things seem to be heading. I believe that Rory's quiet and gentle demeanor was effective for me at a time when I can describe myself as nothing short of broken. He was encouraging and willing to share enough of his own life experience that it made it easier to open up to him at a time when I felt I had lost everything that mattered. Rory was never glib or dismissive. He was attentive and I always felt like he was listening. When I wandered off into territory that was not helpful to addressing my case, he had a gentle but effective way of bringing me back to the matters at hand. I'm not sure I would have gotten as far as I have, had Rory not been with the firm when I first engaged them. He was the first person I spoke with and I was most definitely in crisis when I spoke with him. I had a few legal "first responders" whose help will never be forgotten and Rory is without question one of the most important of those.

To whom it may concern: I was referred to the law firm where Rory O'Sullivan was one of the attorneys on staff. Fortunately for me and my family, Rory was assigned to my case. When I first met Rory, I was very uncomfortable with the entire legal process and knew virtually nothing about the legal system. Rory could sense my hesitation to share my personal sensitive information with him. Rory was able to break down the walls that were erected due to my grieving process that came from the pain of unexpected lost. Rory is a true professional and has the ability to patiently build trust, while being totally honest at all times. I was an At-Will Employee that was terminated without cause and was not treated as the predecessors before me. As I grew to share my story with Rory, he was able to extract the critical information that was pertinent. He was able to keep me focused on the facts, while seperating the damaged feeling that surfaces when someone believes they have been treated unjustly. I worked directly with Rory for approximatley 12-13 months. Due to his ablity to communicate in a calm articulate manner, he was able to get me to share things I had only shared with one other person, my wife. I learned to trust Rory because he made me feel safe. My personal information was safe and secure in his possession. I don't have the ability to measure Rory amongst other attorneys, because I have never needed to request their services in the past. However, what I can mearsure Rory up against, is the character of others, their word, empathy or lack there of and the professionalism of others. Rory's character is beyond reproach. Rory's word is true, every time he scheduled an appointment he was always on time. If for some reason an unexpected change came up, Rory was quick to let me know so that we could reschedule to a more favorable time for all involved. Rory displayed empathy when I shared the personal pain associated of being terminated unceremoniously. Professionalism best describes Rory. Rory's professionalism is the very trait that assisted me in having the ablity to open up with him. When I first met Rory he was just another stranger, but over this past year, Rory has become so much more. Rory has become a trusted friend over this past year. My case is drawing nearer to conclusion, so it is with much sadness that I will not have the opportunity to complete this journey with Rory at my side. However, it is with great joy, that I was in a position to see Rory spread his wings and pursue his personal goals. Because of his personal character, I strongly believe Rory will be very successful with his own practice. I have shared my personal mantra with Rory repeatedly, it is " Do the right thing for the right reasons regardless of the consequences". I have total confidence and faith that Rory will continue to strive to live by those words as well.
