Attorney Paul Di Furia was contacted when I was down to about two weeks from the foreclosure sale of my primary residence in Seattle. Before this contact, six months of modification directly with Chase Bank had been denied with no explanation. I had then attended a mortgage foreclosure seminar presented by an attorney with Advantage Legal Group of Bellevue and had paid for representation. After about two weeks and no further communication from them, Mr. Di Furia was contacted in a panic. Confidence in Mr. Di Furia was immediate through a direct and sufficient discussion of my foreclosure situation which he acknowledged was complex but easily fit the requirements of the state mediation law. Because of the urgency of the situation, he immediately filed the necessary notice and papers with the Dispute Resolution Center and with the attorneys for the Bank. With his competent assistant, document preparation was almost painless. Mr. Di Furia always kept me in the loop and made me feel like I was his top priority. His representation at the mediation sessions was excellent and he always took the time to explain the process and answer questions about future sessions. The end result of the year and a half mediation was that I received and accepted a modification that was better than I dared hope for.
