Taking a shot at immigration to America initially seemed like a crazy and completely unattainable idea to me. The thought of immigrating to other countries didn't seem as daunting and appealing. I delved into the requirements for the talent green card (EB-1) in the States and realized that I actually met many criteria. That's when I knew I needed a lawyer.
So, I reached out to several top-rated lawyers on Avvo. They responded, and I was taken aback by the prices. Katya’s fees, considering her high rating, turned out to be the most reasonable, and we decided to work together.
Katya analyzed my initial data and set a task to "fill in the gaps“ based on the criteria. It's not a quick process, but step by step, I started closing them. Besides meeting the criteria for the case, there were many other things I didn't even suspect. I had to establish an LLC in the United States, preregistering the EIN there, and create a business plan. The goal was to make it clear to the officers reviewing the case that I intended to continue working in America, not just relying on taxpayers. Katya also helped me with all this, providing instructions in addition to closing the criteria.
After 10 months of work, we filed the case. The most nerve-wracking part for me began when we received a request for additional evidence (RFE). The officer nitpicked every detail. In a panic, I started detailing where, what, and how things were proved, even though I shouldn't have. But the anxiety had nowhere to go, turning into a detailed response to each of the officer's claims. I sent this document to Katya as the basis for drafting an official response to the RFE.
I was pleasantly surprised when I received Katy’as version. While I emphasized cause-and-effect relationships and provided factual evidence in my defense, Katya’s version simply dismantled the officer's claims. As it turned out, 99% of these claims were completely illegitimate. The officer would write, "You provide these pieces of evidence, but they don't fit; give others." In my version, I would provide other evidence, and Katya would write that according to the law, these pieces of evidence are suitable, and the officer is incompetent and exceeding their authority—naturally, in very polite terms.
We won the case!
Thanks to Katya and her team for excellent work, achieving the desired result, and for patiently handling my avalanche of worries—this is also very valuable, especially when your fate is literally in the hands of your lawyer.
PS: Payments can be split into parts. The path seems insurmountable only at the beginning. But after the first step, each subsequent one becomes more and more realistic. If someone had told me a year ago where I would be now, I wouldn't have believed it. Your inner saboteur is your enemy, and he’s lying. Just write to a lawyer and find out how things are—there's no harm in asking.
I wish you good luck!

We contacted Katya Stelmakh to settle the issue regarding O1/EB1A visa to the US. Her recommendations were so clear and precise that we didn't hesitate about what choice to make after her briefing us. She has provided us with all the required information and led step by step to the desired "Approval." The petition was approved by USCIS on the first try.
Stelmakh&Associates team was of great help in this way as they drafted letters, checked and prepared needed documents and filled out all the forms. Besides, they were always open to scheduling a meeting at a convenient time for us regardless of different time zones.

I contacted the law firm Stelmakh&Associates to request assistance in applying for an O1A non-immigrant visa. My case was not an easy one - I collected a large number of documents, and I had to very carefully select the most suitable ones and correctly structure the cover letter so that USCIS officers understood what was at stake. My decision to choose Stelmakh&Associates was largely influenced by the strong recommendations of my friends who had successful experience working with this firm in processing similar O1A cases. From the very beginning, the team led by Katya Stelmakh took an active part in the preparation of my documents. My case included two main directions - entrepreneurial activity and scientific activity. It so happened that my case turned out to be one of the most voluminous in the firm’s practice, and the team handled it perfectly! During the preparation process, a lot of attention was paid to various details. The team constantly provided support and adjusted the collection of documents, which ultimately ensured that every aspect of the process was carefully considered. The Stelmakh&Associates team's diligent work resulted in the successful approval of my O1 visa application, a major milestone that opened up new opportunities in my career to apply my knowledge and skills for achieving new goals.

I worked with Katya on an EB-1A application. I went to IIT (India) and graduated from Princeton. I & my wife were struggling through a difficult phase in our lives trying to build the American Dream and get our careers in place. Katya's law firm worked closely with us, understood our pain points, and solved them thoroughly.
We now have our EB-1A approved and can get to the next phases of our lives. Thank you, Katya and team!

I appreciate the work done by Katya Stelmakh and her team at Stelmakh & Associates in helping me get my green card petition approved. I came to the U.S. on a visitor visa from Russia to visit my son, who studied at the U.S. college. I was looking for investment opportunities that would allow me to get a green card. Attorney Katya Stelmakh put together a unique strategy, based on my situation, that not only helped me get my O-1A work visa and my green card petition approved .
Katya figured out a way for me to stay inside the U.S. while I was waiting for my green card.
Thanks to Katya’s strategy and her team’s excellent work and attention to detail, my EB-2 NIW petition has been approved, and I am eagerly awaiting my green card. I recommend Katya Stelmakh and her firm to any other entrepreneur looking to immigrate to America and start a business. She is an immigrant herself and understands how important it is to be able to move to a free country.

I'm a startup founder and I've recently had my I-140 for EB1A approved. I've known Katya for a few years now and worked with the Stelmakh & Associates team on multiple employment based immigration visas including O1A and EB1A for myself and H1B for my team.
As an immigrant founder, immigration is one of those stressful things you have to overcome while you are focused on building and growing the company. However, working Stelmakh & Associates has nothing been short of an amazing experience! I can't thank them enough for getting every visa applied with ease, on-time and with a 100% success rate. I think very few firms can claim this accomplishment.
I believe their team has a very thorough understanding of the USCIS processes and know exactly how to carefully put the best application forward based on every individual's unique context.
At CleverX we think of them as our long term partners and an extension to our team, and we will always be a exclusive client of Stelmakh & Associates for all our team's immigration needs.
I highly recommend anyone reading this review to work with them.

I am really happy with the work done by attorney Katya Stelmakh and her team in helping me and my family get our green cards. I came to the US with my wife and two kids as refugees from Ukraine, and I started a small home appliance business. I didn’t know if I could get a green card. I did not have money to show as an investment into my small business, and I was not a typical tech company founder. I came to Stelmakh & Associates for help with getting a green card because I heard about Katya Stelmakh’s experience and success with immigration cases. Katya Stelmakh and her team put in a lot of effort to put together my EB-2 NIW case, and when the government sent us a Request for Additional Evidence saying that they didn’t think my home appliance business had potential, Katya’s team prepared a detailed answer which persuaded the government to approve my case. Now, my wife, two kids, and I will all be able to get unconditional green cards and continue to stay in the U.S.! I recommend Stelmakh & Associates to anyone who wants to get a green card.
