I've been working with Laurie in a high conflict case for the last two and half years. Her knowledge of the law and amazing ability to clearly and concisely argue her points in court have lead to me prevailing in the two motions I've had to file as well as successfully defending me against the 10+ motions filed by my ex. My case has been extremely complicated and Laurie has impressed me with her ability to remember everything that's going on in my case. She's thorough and effective and I'm grateful that I found her.

Laurie helped us navigate a tough legal issue, and we couldn't have done it without her. We felt that she really took the time to understand our story and communicated it to the judge with perfect timing and in legal terms. She prepared many arguments to back up each important point she made, even naming past legal cases to drive her point home. Lauire was fantastic to work with. She helped me win primary custody of my son which I have heard is challenging for a state that usually sides with the mother. I felt that she truly fought for me and was very eloquent and even the judge was impressed with how she presented my case. She was quick to hear my case for a consultation,but once I hired her,she never communicated in a timely manner,no response to emails for weeks,had to sent repeated emails, I had to call her office frequently to get a hold of her to discuss important updates -she used to be unavailable half the time,very slow in filing for paperwork which was crucial in my case ,I think she takes on more cases than she can handle ,overall once I hired her,she seemed very disinterested in the case and not empathetic at all.She dragged my case for months until I got so frustrated,fired her and hired another great lawyer.I am sure if I would have continued with her,she would have taken it to trial due to being disinterested and mind numbingly slow. Do yourself a favour ,don't waste your hard earned money and look somewhere else.

Laurie helped me get through a tough custody battle that took an extensive amount of her time and energy. We have gone through many hearings, a mediation, and a full blown trial. I felt confident in Laurie to get the results that I needed. She also helped guide me through many situations. There were times I did not agree with her but she kept me level headed and guided me to think about the big picture instead of reacting by emotions. I am so glad I found Laurie. I had tried to speak with other attorney's prior to finding Laurie and none had given me the time of day like Laurie did. She took my call the first time I called to see if she could take on my case. My case was very complicated and involved other court cases outside of my family law case. Other attorney's didn't want to deal with my case, where Laurie didn't even hesitate. Laurie represented me extremely well and I always felt that she gave me realistic expectations and gave great sound advice. She was always very responsive to my emails and calls no matter when it was. In court she was organized, decisive, well put together, firm, and aggressive. She impressed me with her quick rebuttal responses to the other side in the court room. I had watched other attorneys from big firms in the court room look sloppy, but not Laurie. She was well put together and confident. I can't say enough good things about Laurie, but I am 100% glad I found her. I would recommend her to anyone.

I’m sure she’s a good family attorney if she actually has time for your case, but she completely screwed me. It took over three weeks to even get a phone consultation, meaning I had to file my divorce response on my own. Then she charged me $350 for an hour on the phone, and agreed to take my case. Then a week later she told me she had a trial coming up and couldn’t take my case after all, meaning I had to start my attorney search all over.

I hired Laurie to help settle my divorce in a fair and respectful way. It was a long process and an emotional rollercoaster ride. The more I was glad to have her represent my side. She has all the experience, knows what is reasonable, and her advice is 100% on the mark. Early on, I told her that I would always go with her recommendations even if I thought otherwise. Looking back, now that my divorce is settled, I am super glad I always did. When you are in emotional turmoil, you will not be able to make sound decisions without the help of a trustworthy counselor. Laurie Robertson is an knowledgeable, caring, strait forward attorney who is able to maneuver through all the twists and turns of my case. No matter what my ex’s lawyers threw at me, she acted diligently and confidently to protect my children and their best interests time and again. She is currently representing us once more as my ex is at it again and I’m fairly confident this will continue periodically until my last child turns 18.
