Jake Smith defended me on a very difficult DUI case, and I was looking at significant jail time. Jake strategically advised me at every step of the process, and we took our time evaluating our options. The offer presented by the prosecutor was not an offer at all. The prosecutor’s “offer” was more so an insulting challenge to take the case to trial, and was completely unreflective of not only the proactive steps that I had taken, but also of Jake’s assessment of the evidence in the case. We took the case to trial. During the trial, Jake COOKED the State’s witnesses.
