If you have been charged with a crime, you need to call Angela. Unlike many defense attorneys, she actually looks at her clients like real people, and takes the time to listen to you, investigating your case and all legal avenues really thoroughly. In November 2017, I was facing a DUI charge. I had absolutely no idea how to go about choosing an attorney – I just knew I needed one right away. There were so many ads to choose from on the internet – it was overwhelming. I decided to reach out to Horwath Law Offices and a couple other places to get information about what I should do next. I was emotionally distraught and Angela Horwath got back to me immediately. When I spoke with her, I was so reassured by her calm and caring manner. In fact, her whole team was kind and treated me with respect. My situation was ugly because I had an alcohol-related infraction on my driving record from 25 years ago. Those things never go away. I was so worried that I was going to go to jail, lose my license for at least a year, and lose my job. Angela came up with a plan immediately and the team at Horwath started working on my case that day. They supported me through the entire court and DOL process. It took more than six months. Her team was responsive to my many phone calls and emails. I had a million questions, and Angela and her associates took the time to explain what was going to happen next, over and over again. They were reassuring yet honest. In the end, we had a really good outcome for what was a really bad situation. The charges were reduced significantly, which was a good thing since, depending on the way the court looked at the case, it could have been treated as a second DUI. I didn’t lose my license and I didn’t go to jail. Now I can move on with my life and make better decisions going forward. I am so grateful to Angela. I went to Angela's office because I had a public appointed attorney at first. I meet with my public attorney who told me to plead guilty (which I was not) for a lesser charge and be done with it. He never asked for my statement or anything. I was not giving in and pleading guilty to something that will stay on my record for the rest of my life just to get it over and done. The public attorney didn't remember my name, my case, or anything we talked about in our first meeting when I first sat in front of a judge. I knew I had to find someone to represent me. Kelsey was my lawyer, and she always kept me up to speed on my case. Always replied to my emails and phone calls. She listened to me knew my case was ridiculous.
