I am a Canadian whose ex-husband resides in the United States. I retained Elizabeth and her firm because I was requesting Post Secondary support. Elizabeth and her associate Jeremy did an outstanding job. She was supportive and responsive in a timely manner to all my questions. Most of all she was understanding. She understood the emotional roller coaster that I was on. She supported and steered me in the right direction until the end. When she went to court on my behalf she came back with wining results. She is professional and results driven and I would not hesitate to recommend Elizabeth and her team.

We first retained Elizabeth for parenting plan modification in 2011 after meeting with several different lawyers in the area. From the start Elizabeth put us at ease with her knowledge and confidence and we felt right away that she was the right person to represent us. She made the court process easy to manage and kept us up to date on any new challenges or questions regarding our case, while also managing costs. Since 2011, we have had to return to court several times and there is no-one else we would go to for our needs.
During our most recent court case she navigated us through a rather complex case including child support, post-secondary support, and parenting plan modification. During this time, we were able to work also with her associate Jeremy who did an excellent job working with all the information we gave him and helping to construct a concise and professional statement for the courts. She was always efficient about keeping us informed and responding to our questions and concerns. She was upfront and honest about expectations and did not “over-promise” what we knew would be a difficult case. Despite this, she fought hard for us and in the end we are extremely happy with the result. She will not allow herself to be pushed around or manipulated by opposing counsel, and will not get flustered by their inappropriate comments, accusations or requests. We all know that divorce and custody disputes can be quite emotional and ugly, and it was a relief to have representation that put professionalism as a priority while at the same time ensuring that all of the pertinent information is provided for the court.
We have also been able to view Elizabeth represent us in court on several occasions during this case, as well view several other attorneys in the area, and I can say in full confidence that we chose correctly and had the very BEST attorney to represent us. I would not hesitate to refer friends and family to her firm, in fact we already have!

I reached out to Elizabeth Christy as my girlfriend was attempting to proceed on her own with some child custody and child support issues. It was causing her a lot of stress, and she'd had a less than helpful experience with the a court facilitator. In an effort to be helpful, I sought out an hour of time with a lawyer to help steer my girlfriend properly, help her get informed on the process, and in general get a clear direction.
We booked a consultation with Elizabeth Christy's law firm and were scheduled with Emily Roberts. We were upfront about desiring information on how to proceed on our own, but did mention if the situation required it and we felt we could work with the lawyer, we would proceed with them representing us.
My girlfriend and I found the experience both unpleasant, unproductive, and not overly informative. I found getting direct answers out of Emily a combative experience. She would tell us to just go get documents on the website. I mentioned my girlfriend was clearly overwhelmed by the process, so perhaps she could help us find the documents. I then requested she email us the documents and help us ensure we have them all. She refused to send email. I asked her to print them. She begrudgingly printed one document, which we later discovered was printed on yellow paper and the court will not accept so printing the singular document was worthless. We asked her how to craft a particular document she mentioned, and she dismissively said they were on the website. I held her feet to the fire and asked her to show us... she went to the website and then slowly backpedaled into acknowledging the documents don't actually exist on the site, there are no templates, and they are usually prepared by people in her employ. She provided abstract verbal direction on how to complete this ourselves.
After gleaning what information we could, I had a few steps in place to help my girlfriend proceed, or so I thought. We went next door to the courthouse and attempted to proceed as advised. We instantly ran into difficulty. Wanting to keep the process going and being as helpful as possible, I paid the small fee to see a court facilitator.
20 minutes and $20 with the court facilitator was a vastly superior experience for us to the one hour and $200 with Emily Roberts. We got clear direction, we got a list of form items, and we got helpful advice. Ontop of all of this the lady acknowledged we weren't quite ready to speak with her, gave us our receipt back then told us what to come back with (in a very polite and helpful manner) when we were prepared and at that time she would be properly equipped to help us proceed.
So if you want good service... save 90% and walk one block to the court house.

I would highly recommend her (and have to friends and family) as an attorney!!!!
She is very fair, I used her in a custody case with my son back in 2012 and I loved working with her. She communicates and keeps you in the loop. She explains the process (in language you understand), what to expect and the outcome.
My son was recently adopted by my husband and we had to use a different attorney, that did not communicate with us, did not do things in a timely manner and over all was very frustrating! Something that should have taken a month to two months to complete took five months! Also, was told one fee and ended up being double! It made me appreciate my first experience with Elizabeth! Knowing that not all attorneys are like the one we dealt with.
We recently asked her to represent us in a child support case and I am so thankful for her being able to do it. She is human and easy to talk to and explain things to, with no judgement. She truly cares and wants to help!
In both cases she made sure that it was affordable and we really appreciate that being a family of five!
If we need to use her in the future she is our number one to go to! I also will continue to send people her way if need be!

Elizabeth is absolutely fantastic. I had a difficult child custody case, and I don't believe I could have obtained the results I did without her expert guidance. She is easy to work with, gives honest advice and guidance, and the quality of her work and her results are exceptional.
She's also got a great group of people working with her, and every step of the way I felt like I knew what was going on, what I needed to be working on, and what was going to happen next.
If your goal is achieving the best possible outcome for you and your family, you could not have anyone better on your side than Elizabeth Christy.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience with Elizabeth Christy. My (now) ex-wife were working through our divorce about a year ago. We received initial proposed child care and child support numbers based on gross monthly incomes. Naturally, my ex-wife proposed numbers that were excessively high. Elizabeth Christy wasn't much help in diving into the numbers and figuring out why they were excessive to then propose a counter proposal. Also, there were numerous errors and mistakes in our drafted responses that I was responsible for catching. I didn't feel comfortable that Elizabeth was capable of representing me or maybe she didn't have my best interest at heart. Therefore, I chose to take my business elsewhere. $1,500 for multiple mistakes, simply reading documents and not providing any real legal support was disappointing to say the least. My experience was extremely dissatisfying and wouldn't recommend their services.

My husband and I hired Elizabeth Christy when we were faced with an uphill challenge of family court matters nearly 4 years ago. We had no idea what to look for in a lawyer, so we delved in and scheduled a meeting with Elizabeth. We were so nervous, but were more lucky than we could of hoped for.
Elizabeth was compassionate, understanding, and very patient. As we prepared documents, she updated us every step. When we had court, she answered every question promptly. We always felt "in the loop" with what the status was and how court matters were progressing. She never promised us false outcomes to encourage us into hiring her or continuing to work with her. We hired her because she was so very honest and open about what our true options/possibilities are.
I could go on and give such specific details as to why you should hire her and quit looking for another attorney. There is a reason we continued to use her for nearly 4 years. We built a history with her and trusted her to understand what our challenges were and continue to be. I don't believe relationships like that develop without a level of trust and understanding.
Unfortunately, we were served documents from another county, and had to leave her services. My first sadness of being served, was not that we were served, but that we couldn't work with Elizabeth anymore. It speaks volumes that after our case transferred to another county, she continued to contact me and email to here what the final word was.
If ever the chance to handle family law matters in Clark County, there is no doubt that I would email her and ask if she would represent us again.

Elizabeth is a top-flight attorney, and I cannot recommend anyone more highly. She is ultra-competent and sharply focused, and will advocate solidly on your behalf while maintaining the right balance of class and decorum necessary to make real headway with the "other side." Elizabeth's qualities as an attorney are particularly enhanced by the fact that she is simply an outstanding human being. This ethereal and irreplaceable "heart and soul" is important, because your family law attorney sees you, and most everything about you, at one of life's lows. Elizabeth is great at pushing when appropriate, backing off when appropriate, and assessing likely legal outcomes in a realistic fashion so that you are not overcharged. In other words, she will help get you through, to a divorce and custody situation that is as sane as humanly possible.
