I really can't think of enough nice things to say about Steve and his team. We were faced with a pretty impossible situation and what we were looking at facing as a family didn't phase Steve a bit. Steve is very much straight to the point/cut to the chase man, and he will definitely not waste your time, which is a different communication style than I'm used to. However I realize in the legal world, the point is to get the job done, and he does just that. He goes to bat for his clients, and uses that to the point approach with fearless verbiage when it comes to speaking in court or in legal documents, or getting what he needs from others in order to help his client. He knows what's in the realm of possibilities, and he's not afraid to go for it. Steve is a good man and a super experienced criminal Lawyer. It was a very difficult situation. While the outcome wasn't perfect, it was definitely way better than in could have been. Steve Thayer is the best defense attorney anyone could ever ask for. Not only him, but his entire team from Jacy Thayer all the way to his Legal Assistant and Office Assistant. They are a well oiled machine. I was falsely accused of a very serious violent felony that had the potential to effectively ruin my life. My case dragged on through the Covid pandemic. Now came the trial… Watching Steve during the trial was like watching an artist paint a masterpiece. He scratched and clawed to win every motion and every objection. He was so well prepared. Even though I was terrified with my life on the line, Steve’s level of expertise and level of respect he had in that courtroom really helped put my mind at ease. His cross examination of the State’s witnesses was perfect. Jacy’s direct examination of our witnesses and myself was so flawless, the prosecutor didn’t even cross examine any of us. Steve and Jacy left no stone unturned and had complete command of the courtroom. Watching Steve go up against the State’s prosecutor was like watching an MLB pitcher pitch to Little League batters. He dominated and painted the perfect picture of why I was innocent and should be acquitted. I couldn’t recommend Steve Thayer and his team strongly enough. I felt so lucky to have him as my attorney. If, god forbid, a friend or family member runs into any legal trouble, Steve is the one and only defense attorney I would have them call. From the very beginning and having me do a polygraph, to advising me to do a bench trial, all the way through the entire trial. Steven won our case: assault on a police officer, in an environment prejudiced against us. He achieved this without going to trial, all by patient work and skill without tools of lesser lawyers such as sleaze, corruption ... you name it.

I never imagined that I could ever be arrested for anything. I had actually been in law-enforcement for over 7 years when my bitter ex fiancé filed a false police report to get me fired. I was charged with 2 crimes on her "say so" alone. I'd never heard of "Steven W. Thayer, PS. Criminal Defense Attorney". My parents searched frantically for "THE BEST" Criminal Defense attorney in Clark County WA, and they found Thayer. I was released AFTER HOURS on a Friday, and prior to officially retaining him. Following an arrest, EVERYTHING is bad news & you won't want to hear any of it. Put your "big boy" pants on and trust in him & his team. Steve will give it to you straight. He will cut you off when you ramble. He may even slightly offend you. Here's my advice: "Suck it up buttercup"! He is a pro. He knows what he is doing. What he may lack in patience at times, his team will more than make up for. His daughter Jacy Thayer is also an incredible attorney. She has a big heart and is one of the most genuine people I've ever met. She actually gave me a hug when I posted bail. That caught me off guard but in my family a hug is always reassuring. Steve's personal investigator Bill will go above and beyond to assist when necessary. Bill went to my home TWICE in a row (back to back) to retrieve a hand gun that had to be removed from my residence PRIOR to my release due to the allegations. He was given the wrong combo the first time but went right back anyway so I could come home. The other people in the office are also very accommodating and forward messages along in a timely manner. Thank you Caity, thank you Betty! Having had my life turned inside out and upside down based on the words of an evil vindictive woman, I now understand why Criminal Defense Attorney's exist. I recommend Steve & his ENTIRE team to anybody that can afford him. He got all of my charges dropped after MULTIPLE "continuances" from both sides. Regardless of how long it takes or the sheer number of times that your trial gets postponed, remember these 2 things: 1. THEY are the best. 2. The more time that elapses, the more evidence they can uncover in your favor. These people saved my life! I will never forget that!
