We were in Vancouver visiting family when I tripped and fell in a parking lot, breaking my left shoulder and ribs on my left side. My husband looked in the yellow pages and found Sara Schirato from Etengoff Pak Law Group. Sara came to the hotel and interviewed me with care and concern. Reached out to Etengoff Pak to try and understand some of the legal nuance around a situation with a hit-and-run my wife was the victim of and see if a lawyer would be helpful to have as a partner in our circumstance. I spoke with Jim, who was very down to earth, helpful, and clear in explaining some of the laws that apply here. By the middle of the call, we had come to the conclusion that there was not going to be a need for his services in our individual case, but he was still kind enough to spend time with me on the phone to understand the situation and provide his informed point of view for every question I asked. When all the context you've got in dealing with these complex situations is the perspective of combative insurance companies, it is much appreciated to have that straightforward guidance. I can hope I don't need a personal injury attorney in the future, but if I do, I'm very happy to know that places like Etengoff Pak is around.

Do your research before allowing these people to “help”. The communication sucked, felt like I always had to reach out to even get an update on what was happening. They say they’re there to help but i really felt like they were using my injuries as a way for them to make money off of a settlement. I would’ve been better off doing it on my own or hiring an attorney through my insurance instead of this horrible company but I’ve never been in an incident like this so I trusted these people from the start to end up feeling like they really took advantage and didn’t do what’s best for me but did what was best for them to profit off of. That’s my consequence for not doing my research I guess.
