This attorney stood up for me better than anyone has. Ever. I was court appointed, but not ONCE treated that way. I think indigent clients often expect to be at a disadvantage, as their is little incentive motivating pro bono work. Mr. Sowder took personal offense at the injustice in my case, and rose to the occasion to expose it. He seems a casual, quirky man, but is CLEARLY respected among his colleagues. I am deeply grateful for the work he did for me. If considering hiring a criminal defense attorney, he is worth every dime.

Don't hired this attorney, if you do you will go to prison. This attorney was given to me by the courts, I couldn't make bail, and I told this attorney to get my evident for trial back in 1993, this mess up attorney told me that he was working on a murder trial and couldn't get my evident, I went to trial with no evident, and the trial was all hearsay, this attorney didn't even object to any of the hearsay , not only did this attorney didn't get my evident for me, my mother gave this attorney new clothes for me to wear at trial, but this attorney said he lost them, the cops gave me ho bow clothes to ware at trial, needless to say I was found guilty and I went to prison for 10 1/2 years. When I was at prison, I meet a lot of guys in there that had this very same attorney, and everyone of them told me this attorney did the same thing to them, so If you get this attorney he will not do anything for you and YOU WILL GO TO JAIL OR PRISON, if the courts gives you this attorney, stand up in court in front of the judge & jury "Make sure you do this in court in front of the judge and jury" stand up and tell the judge that you want to fired this attorney, that will give you grounds for a retrial, the judge will say no, but if the judge still wont fired him, and you go to trial, when you think this attorney is no helping you, stand up in court and tell the judge and jury that you don't want this attorney, that will give you more grounds for a retrial, because if you get this attorney you are going to lose.
