Janelle started out great it seemed, however, as things needed to be filed or attention was needed to button up files or special requests were made, she was MIA. Request after request went ignored and cost time and money. The final straw was $3000 given as a retainer that was never seemingly used and Carmen Law ignored the requests for the return of the money when it was clear they were not doing their job. It has been years now. Do not trust this firm with any of your legal needs.

I hired Janelle Carmen for an issue I was involved in without talking to other attorneys about her, and boy did that bite me in the rear. For months and months she kept dragging the hearings out with various weak excuses that the judge kept accepting, and for some reason I never realized I was getting bill for all the pointless time spent in hearings to just have them pushed out. In court she was very loose with the truth and facts, and even though it was to benefit me, it caused concern as I knew she was lying about stuff. The outcome was acceptable, but I was blown away when I got my final billing when it was all over. It was almost double what I was quoted and originally paid. Never again. Avoid this office for anything, you will regret it.

Janelle carman was state appointed to me in a case couple years back. She was very frustrating to me in the begging cus I was new to the system, and didn't understand the process and couldn't ever get through to her. But down the road today I greatly appreciate her, she got me the best deal and even now today is handling my charge on possession I had when I took my deal. She is handling what needs to be done for my doc time to get recalculated right away and is making sure everything is in top top shape. I love her very much and if I ever am in a point In my life we're I need legal help she would be the one I will call.

I am thankful we hired Janelle Carman to help us on our case. She went above and beyond to listen to our perspective and to assist us to a very successful result. When we hired Janelle, we thought we would not be able to make the state listen to us about our business. We thought we would be hit with high taxes. Janelle helped us convince L&I to listen to us about how our business was structured and to not make us pay a ridiculous amount in taxes.

I would have loved nothing more than to have provided a positive review until it became apparent that this attorney fails in our case to adhere to her core values, including justice for the client. This attorney and her firm withdrew from our case after 6 yrs, close to $200,000, 10 trial delays, and just weeks before trial leaving us without representation. There was a celebratory unprofessional presence in the courtroom hallway in front of her devastated client, family, and friends. We were respectful, patient, and supportive of her personal situation only to have her turn against us. The harm she created with the withdrawal was unconscionable. Don't be fooled by the charisma and manipulations.

I met Janelle in 11/08 via a friend. I had just about lost my entire life until I met her & my legal team. Without her, I would not have my family back together. I would have for sure have lost my children for life. Together, we were successful in suing DSHS. Janelle has been key since the day I had met her. She followed my case before my children were returned & advised me on how to handle situations where I felt blindfolded. Even with a public defender. Janelle volunteered her work & valuable time until she saw my children returned. That, to my family & myself, will forever be priceless. After the children were returned, Janelle jumped on board with our lawsuit against DSHS, along with her amazing staff. I cannot put into words, their heart, hard work, her own money, and hours & hours, of time, spent on our case until she resolved it properly. My children received their piece of justice, & I must thank Carman Law office staff, & especially Janelle. Watching her work was definitely one of the most inspiring moments regarding this case I've witnessed. She works with her heart. 100%, she is a woman who works with her heart. She was extremely caring when my children were deposed. Those are fragile situations where children can be uncomfortable. Janelle made sure they were comfortable. She brought special snacks, even called me first to be sure she brought things they would enjoy for several hour long depositions. She definitely goes out of her way to ensure that everyone is as comfortable as possible in uncomfortable situations. My children loved her & she worked extremely well with them. She's professional. Even moments were we should have been offended or outraged, she was naturally graceful. She was extremely easy to connect to. Easy to contact, whether email or via phone. If she was busy, she always made time for me. These were two cases that emotionally tapped me out. Janelle was one of my backbones & I would not have made it through phase one, where honestly I wanted to give up without her. Her kind words motivated me to pick back up & her encouragement absolutely kept me going all the way through to the very end. Janelle worked with my family & myself for four years straight, never missing a beat. To this very day and for the rest of my life I will be forever grateful for Carman Law Office. The staff genuinely cares. Janelle genuinely cares. And they are very vocal about this. They make you feel & know, that you are actually hanging onto a solid rope, rather than a thread. Janelle's actions prove that she does her job with her heart & I know personally her genuine motivation is for the people she represents. You couldn't ask for a better lawyer. If I could give her more stars, I would. She is now someone my children & I will forever remember. She's the beautiful part of a very ugly chapter in my children's & mines lives that we had to endure. She definitely softened the blow for everybody. For this, my entire family will eternally be grateful. Excellent, excellent, attorney. Plays very well with others as well. I would and have recommended her multiple times.

Janelle and her staff worked on a business matter for us. We run a small business and we weren't getting paid for already completed work by a customer of ours. Janelle Carman and her staff were very courteous and helped us get this matter resolved. We will be using her for all our future needs.

Most of this firm's clients are clients for multiple years. Meaning they stretch things out to charge their clients. The first few court date the firms main attorney Janelle made an appearance then I was quickly passed off to another lawyer who had just passed her bar exam . The case in total has been going on for 2years 3months. When things in the case went from good to bad the communication went away. I never felt secure or sure of what was going to happen or what needed to happen. But the tipping point was when I emailed the attorney done questioned and she answered by emailing me a balance if my account. So if your looking for an attorney to really represent you look somewhere else. 2+Years = 5800

Best east of the cascades if not the northwest, ms. Carman represents the best qualities of a lawyer a client would wish for.....excellent fund of knowledge in jurisprudence and the law and good service to her clients, she is responsive to her clients needs but most of all, she makes you feel at ease that you have your advocate and she's "got your back"

As much as no one wants to need an attorney, having the right one can make all the difference. Ms. Carman and her staff were great to work with. Right from the beginning I felt like I could trust Ms. Carman and all of her staff were very sympathetic to my situation and my needs. Her office was excellent at keeping me informed and in the loop and they were able to respond to any questions or concerns I had quickly and completely. I would definitely recommend them to anyone else!
