I regret to say that my experience with Jan Dils has been extremely disappointing. I engaged their services to assist with my VA disability claim, but throughout the process, they have been unresponsive, unreliable, and unhelpful.
From the outset, communication has been a significant issue. Despite numerous emails and phone calls, responses have been slow or non-existent. It often took weeks to get a reply, and even then, the answers provided were vague and uninformative. When documentation was requested from the VA, the firm contacted me months later to obtain it. Fortunately, I was proactive and submitted the necessary documents myself. For example, a letter dated March 14 was only brought to my attention on June 5. When I inquired about the delayed communication, Jade explained that they only reached out every 120 days. I asked if this was the case even when information needed to be submitted by a specific date, and she confirmed it was.
I have done everything for my case on my own, including collecting and submitting documentation and typing up additional information. Despite this, they are set to receive 20% of my back pay, even though they haven’t done anything to help. Their excuse is always that they can't do anything until the initial claim is resolved, and they don't know what assistance to provide. Yet, they can't even submit a document on time, despite claiming to offer a service that alleviates stress for veterans. Instead, they are exploiting veterans, not assisting them, and seemingly hoping the case goes to appeals so they can continue to take your money.
Noah mentioned that they don’t get paid until appeals, but Jade and Leah stated they get paid off any claim, including initial claims. At the very least, I expected more help and better communication. However, the lack of communication and overall experience with case managers Jade, Leah, and Noah left me feeling ignored and undervalued as a client.
In terms of reliability, the firm has consistently failed to meet deadlines and follow through on their commitments. Important documents were not filed on time. This lack of professionalism has caused unnecessary delays in my claim process, adding to an already stressful situation.
Moreover, the guidance and support I received were inadequate. The firm did not provide clear instructions or explanations about the VA disability claim process. When I sought clarification, the responses were often confusing and unhelpful. I expected expert assistance to navigate the complexities of my claim, but instead, I felt left to figure things out on my own.
Overall, I am deeply dissatisfied with the service provided by Jan Dils Their unresponsiveness, unreliability, and lack of helpfulness have significantly hindered my VA disability claim process. I would not recommend this firm to anyone seeking assistance with their VA claims.

I feel like I'm being listened to here. I've always been told I'm young and I shouldn't be in "that amount of pain" already and I can do x y z to be better. I can't. You all have done the absolute best to get me disability not only so I can have my insurance back that has been taken away from me so I can go back to my doctors but to also bring in a little income to help relieve the financial burden that has fallen to my husband. Thank you for all that you do!

After injuring my back...it was hard to work. Didn't know what to do...my wife was worried about me trying to continue to work and begged me to call Jan Dils. I was so glad I did. She helped me get my S.S. disability. Her office didn't treat me like just a number, they treated me as though they knew me from day one and like they truly cared about me. Jan Dils and her office staff are fantastic and wonderful to work with. Thank you Jan Dils.
