Wow is all I have to say! They will cancel your public defender on you and not even notify you! And then when you call weeks before court to make sure your represented they say you have to re apply! What a joke! Public pretenders is what they are! Even other county's public pretenders do more than anyone in this office! Sad and disgraceful!!

The front desk ladies are horrible! I got hung up on, they wouldn't let me explain my issue. Called back and she did the same thing.

What can you say about a PD office, right? Their caseload is 10x or more that of a private attorney, and they make much less money. Do they do everything they can? Sometimes. But when you have 100 bleeding patients and 10 stop breathing, the others have to wait, right? In my situation, I went into the PD's office with a 3rd offense DUI that the Prosecutor offered a deal to soften the blow. PD presented the offer to me, and I decided I could do better with a private attorney. Several thousand dollars and 18 months later, I was convicted of FOURTH OFFENSE DUI because my private attorney was such a screw up (he's now got charges from the OLR due to my case). So, if you're NOT paying (PD office) or paying (private attorney), you don't always get the legal representation you expected. At least the PD's office has a legit excuse and you're not out thousands, but yeah . . . they're not bending over backward to find a better legal outcome for you. Other review is talking about Juneau Co(??) . My review is about Sauk in Baraboo PD office.
