Hands down great experience. I needed a payoff on a client's account and Rebecca R. helped me and provided excellent customer service. It took days because of the nature of my call but there was never a long hold and she kept me in the loop every step of the way. And every agent I spoke to already she was working in the matter and got me back to her. I loved not having to explain everything all over again.

Sends vague letters, won’t answer the phone, doesn’t respond to voicemails or emails, and yet we are expected to conduct business with them somehow. 👎

Really gives the run around and doesn't like to give a receipt after money paid in full. Paid over a month ago via bank wire and still will not give an actual paid in full receipt!

I spoke to the most wonderful woman today, and she was willing to work with me. She went above, and beyond. Her name is Chasity and if you ever have to call this company asked to speak to her she will help you and go bat for you. She has compassion, empathy and you truly do get more bees with honey.
The only reason I am giving it four stars is the first gentleman I spoke to was the opposite of Miss Chasity so for that, I cannot give five stars, because he was not willing to work with me, and he had no empathy whatsoever.

It appears as though I am not the only person that has been subject to Bill Sturm's/Rausch Sturm's predatory collection tactics! It doesn't appear that middle class people are struggling as much with a frozen account, more so those of us who already are struggling in poverty. I have lived well below the 200% of HHS Poverty Guidelines for about 4 years now. Couldn't pay rent for about a year because I was struggling, had to go to food shelves to get food. And yes, I have worked most of that time. Do you want to know what Lutheran Social Services told me when I called asking for their help with my debt? "Don't pay your credit cards, you can't afford it." This isn't a hyperbolic means of gaining attention - this was a literal statement made by a professional at a debt relief agency. Being a college student (trying to find a job that I can make more than the minimum wage) has made it difficult to work more than 40 hours a week (not that anyone should have to).
Rausch Sturm has imposed a garnishment summons. I provided them with my exemption (proof that I am low income) 11 days ago, yet my bank account is still frozen. Could you imagine what would happen if I were still living on my own with my child? I guess kids don't need to eat, do they? People don't need to pay for things like electricity, shelter, or food? Or how about gas to get to and from work? Do you want to know the population that struggles most with poverty in the city of Minneapolis, Minnesota? Children. Members of the BIPOC community. Not only are these communities least likely to be able to pay back a debt (because they simply do not make enough money), they are most affected by things like garnishment summons. You have taken away someone's access to *vital resources*. People need money to buy food and shelter. If people do not have food and shelter, people die. According to your 2.7 star rating on Indeed, your employees probably feel the pain of not having enough access to vital resources (you don't pay them enough).
Rausch Sturm is an organization that exploits the poor working class in order to maintain its profits. They also exploit their customer service employees, turning them into Scarlet Lettermen - using them as tools so they don't have to hear the client's concerns, all while paying them a pittance for their labor. They care nothing about humanity, decency, or community. Shame, shame on you.

It is not too often that one can communicate with a debt collector and feel like a satisfied customer. However, Mrs Chastity Dampier has been a pleasure to work with. She had gone above and beyond to look at my account and read thoroughly the details of an error that was made and a request was put in to reverse that error. The following day that error was reversed and she shared the same relief that i did. I was so appreciative and grateful for her efforts to help me get this issue resolved. She is a great asset to your organization!

The worst company we’ve ever had to deal with. I honestly don’t know how they help anyone with the way they conduct business.

Besides the typically long wait times and getting cut off during them, I’ll assume that was karma for taking 3 years to pay off my collection 😅, I was very very pleased with the ease of closing my collections. Jeremy Smith was super professional and prompt in assisting me in taking care of the amount I owed as well as getting me documentation I needed so I could take the next steps in my life.
