My husband, Clarence P. Nicholas, and I procrastinated in consulting a legal entity to assist us in our estate planning. We thought it was going to be an extremely difficult and time consuming process. Block Legal Services, LLC made the process understandable and provided advice that will allow our heirs a road map to be able to know our wishes and navigate through the revocable trust/will with confidence and a clear understanding of how to move the process forward. We only needed to meet twice to complete the revocable trust/will. We recommend Block Legal Services, LLC for estate planning.

We used Block Legal Services for our will and estate plan. They were thorough, we never felt rushed, and they answered all of our questions. They answered follow up questions and offered to meet with the people who were part of our will and estate plan to make sure THEY understood. This was all covered under their initial fee. Bonus - we could do everything but the final signing virtually, so the 1.5 hours away we live was never an issue to get quality service!

I am Sheri Singh-Minhas. My boyfriend, Gerald Martin Brettschneider, recently passed away on July 3, 2021 due to septic shock. I was given assurances by Attorney William Block and Attorney Nicholas DiUllio that property I have would be protected, even in storage units in Jerry’s name, as I had access. A friend drove me to the Brookfield Law Office where they are located. I spent an hour with both of them. I also received a fee agreement for $1500, that when I would need their assistance and received at least one of my partner’s life insurance policies, that they would be ready to assist. Yesterday, September 1, 2021, I called, and my message was passed to Attorney William Block, who only responded that I haven’t “hired” him and they he couldn’t assist. I sent a response that I would was ready to hire him,” because I had the funds, and he never responded back. Today, September 2, 2021, I called and left a message with his staff, and he called me to back out of representing me and told me that his “office would not get involved,” despite the fee agreement I signed to pay $1500 which I had today. To me, it sounds like “hollow appeasement,” and I will quote former British Prime Minister, the late Margaret Thatcher, whom I quote, “I seem to smell the stench of appeasement in the air.” It is immoral to give hope to a client and not have any intention to assist, which parallels with a mirage in the desert where water doesn’t exist despite a reflection of it. I only commend Mariah, the office assistant, who was very kind, and I hope she receives a better job with a different law firm where this type of hollow appeasement doesn’t exist. I rated this firm with one star, but this law firm should not get any stars. I will never call this “flaky” law firm again. Also, today, I offered to pay for services as per the fee agreement when I would receive my late boyfriend’s insurance proceeds. I explained that at the initial consultation in July to both attorneys who are in this office. How can it be stated untruthfully by the owner today that I didn’t pay any money when my payment offer was refused by the same attorney who just answered that I didn’t pay? This is what I mean with unethical practices. He couldn’t keep his word, and to those of you out there, think twice before considering to hire this attorney. He will tell you one thing and do the opposite. The truth is, he never wanted to assist in the first place.

I initially attempted to do my own revocable trust through an online program. When finished, I contacted Block Legal Services to review my documents and advise if any changes needed to be made. I am so glad I did because they found major holes and mistakes in my documents that would have left my estate in a mess. I ended up hiring Block to prepare my Revocable Trust, Will and all other necessary documents. They were very thorough, took care to explain the necessity and purpose of each document and give advice when I asked for it. The cost was very reasonable and I would definitely recommend Block Legal Services.
