Trisha Festerling was our attorney for (divorce) mediation...Trisha was knowledgeable, professional and personable.
At one point my wife an I hit a "wall" and we both thought that we would not find a resolution...Trisha was able to help us come together and ultimately come through the other end with an agreement that made sense for both my (ex)wife, myself, and most importantly, our children. I highly recommend Trisha Festerling and thank her for her expertise and assistance.

Madeline has done a great job looking ahead at possible issues and guiding me to take measured steps. Divergent has been incredible, and I'm beyond happy with the work they're doing for me.

Avoid this firm at all costs. Madeline C. Bitto is the most inadequate attorney I have ever encountered. She failed to review my case or provide a proper defense, which directly resulted in my loss of school choice, primary placement and decision-making authority for my children.
Her unprofessional conduct during my hearing included playing with her hair and wedding ring while drinking Starbucks, and she was clearly unprepared. Madeline C. Bitto even asked me for guidance on what to do before the hearing. To make matters worse, she abandoned my case just before the hearing during the week of Thanksgiving, recognizing her own incompetence.
Additionally, this unethical firm did not refund my money. Please invest in qualified legal representation and avoid this firm, which operates with the same disregard as the discount retailer, Walmart.

I’d spoken with a handful of family attorneys before having the pleasure of interacting with Madeline, and immediately I knew I was in the right place. The care and professionalism from her and the team at Divergent was above and beyond, and really put me at ease throughout the entire process. I cannot recommend Divergent strongly enough. Family matters require the best lawyers, and that’s who they are.

HONEST REVIEW-2 years ago, I went through the scariest time of my life. I was going through a divorce and had a very bad drinking problem. This led to my 3rd OWI. I didn’t hurt anyone, myself or get into any car accidents. I was less than 2 miles from my home. I pulled over and was immediately taken into custody. I was terrified. I don’t believe alcoholism is a choice, but I know that I broke the law.
I of course, like many, wanted the best lawyer to represent me. I called around and mostly looked at the reviews online. I focused more on the lawyers with the best reviews and read the reviews that most related to my situation. Grieve Law had a 4.8 out of 5 star rating. I spoke with Tom Grieve and he was very informative and made me feel very comfortable. I asked if I could book with him as my lawyer, but he was unable to take on any more clients. He recommended Glenn Gaskill. He told me Glenn knew just as much as he did and was a very respected lawyer. He also had a good relationship with the DA in my county. After more questions, I decided to make the arrangements to book with Glenn. I received a discount if I paid all up front, so I reluctantly agreed to paying the $9,200 (after discount) to book with Glenn.
I heard from Glenn fairly quickly, and was not worried in the beginning. It didn’t take long for me to realize what kind of lawyer Glenn was. It took days for him to respond to emails. Sometimes, it would take upwards a week. And when he did, he would respond with 1, maybe 2 sentence responses. It almost seemed as if he was responding to me from his cell phone because of the shortness with most of his responses. When I would try to call him, at any point, he was never available. The receptionist that would answer the phone was also very rude and short with me. When I would ask when Glenn would be in, she never knew.
During my case, my anxiety was super high. I have a family to take care of, a job, and many other responsibilities. I felt during my entire case, I was treated like a criminal. I felt that everyone treated me like a criminal, but my lawyer (and especially at $9,200) should have been the last person I should have gotten that treatment from. I gave Glenn many defenses that he could use in my case to help with the outcome, and I feel he ignored them all, saying it was relevant. Most of the time, I kept up to date on my case by going online (wcca website) because he didn’t communicate with me. There were many times I emailed him and told him how upset I was he wasn’t getting back to me.
Glenn is not the type that has any emotions towards his clients. He is very monotone and didn’t care about me as a person at all. I understand being a lawyer can lead to this type of non-emotional response, but you should care about your clients at least a little. My 2nd OWI lawyer was a fraction of the cost and he was always keeping me updated on my case and showed a lot of emotiontowards me in person and in the courtroom. This led to me receiving a 12 day house arrest, 18 month license revocation and 6 months outpatient treatment. I would have contacted him again but was too embarrassed.
As time went on and things didn’t get any better, I finally contacted Grieve Law and asked to speak with Glenn’s superior. The person I spoke with said they would speak with Glenn. Glenn contacted me shortly thereafter and we met in person. He said that he was confident in my case and reassured me he would be better at responding to me and making me feel more assured and up to date. Things did get better for a short time. I was given the option to switch lawyers but we were so close to the case concluding, I didn’t know what good it would do to start all over again. Plus, he reassured me things would get better. Long story short(er), my case concluded and all obligations have been fulfilled. I feel that for the amount charged, definitely not worth it.

I paid them approximately $5,000 and they didn’t do anything for me. They showed up to two zoom court dates that took about 30 minutes in total. They assigned me an attorney wi was straight out of college, then quit. So then I got assigned another attorney who again appeared to be right out of law school. But I figured she had a great staff around her and that I’d still be in good hand’s, but was I wrong!
It seemed to me that they just wanted it to go trial so their part of the contract was fulfilled and they could suck more money out of me. They never even tried one time to contact my ex to work out a deal in order to avoid trial. I think I figured it out and they probably spent five hours on my case all together and that is very generous on my part because it was only probably about two hours, expert I gave them another three as the paralegal probably entered my financials in their system, which was never even filed with the court. Then they asked me for more money and just didn’t sure to for ac court date; I found it from the judge that I was no longer getting represented by the firm.
So I cashed the firm and wanted the main last who would be the one to issue out refunds give me a call, which never happened. They however had the attorney call me av couple times but I had told them I didn’t want a call from her, only from the other lady.
Go somewhere else because these people are what give matters ac bad rap. They charge a flat rate which they make it seem like it will be in your favor and maybe some of these attorneys are great but I didn’t have that experience. I just know I wouldn’t risk it

I spoke to Attorney Joe Kennedy-he was unapologetically rude and unempathetic as I tried to explain my circumstances. He gave a pathetic long sigh before asking me a question relevant to what I was dealing with. As we spoke, I obtained a vibe that he was not genuinely interested in helping me and my family. I do not believe this individual is working in the right profession.

My wife and I hired divergent for a custody dispute with her ex. After they collected their flat fee our lawyer Kaitlyn Grasswick recommended we take the first offer they gave us in spite of the fact that it met none of the criteria we had set out. She didn't respond to emails or phone calls within 2 business days unless we called repeatedly. It could not be more clear that they did not care about our case. If you need a lawyer look elsewhere. In the end we paid for a better lawyer at another firm. He took care of it in 2 weeks and charged $2000. To put this in perspective Divergent Law had our case for 5 months, never filed anything, and took over $4000. These people are no better than theives.
