An unfortunate transaction with a bad Contractor prompted my consultation with Asher. I found him to be extremely personable and very knowledgeable. He advised me on what steps that I could take to bring the Contractor to small claims court and report him to the CSLB. I was impressed with the amount of time he took in talking with me and the scope of his knowledge. If I ever need legal services in the future, I would not hesitate to hire him. I strongly recommend Asher for any legal needs you might have.

Paid cash for a remainder of a bill; if I was late or missing a payment you'd think they would've filed it, or sent a late notice. A full year later I get a notice from the court they have filed a "final notice". I never received an initial notice, because it was paid in full in the first place.

I am absolutely disgusted with the actions of Asher Law office. Deb Asher was appointed as the GAL for my stepdaughter. Her father was the main caretaker for the first 8 years of her life, then when he and I began our relationship, her mother decided she wanted to be a mother and we were forced to go to court. Mother of the child immediately called Deb, painted a completely false narrative, that Deb then followed throughout the entire time. It was almost as if she had never dealt with a narcissist before. From day one she took the side of the mother, after us providing many documents showing the reasons she was completely unfit. None the less, we then received the final bill, decided on a settlement, and then when I went into the office to discuss the bill, and explain that we haven’t been in contact as of lately because my mother was diagnosed with Cancer, then passed away soon after, the secretary decided to be completely disrespectful and speak negatively about the explanation of my mothers diagnosis. I am beyond shocked at the actions of this office.

Deb Asher appears to be a guardian ad litem that only serves the client that retains her. For example I saw her lie in court today to the judge by saying the opposite of what the child told her in her interview. She uses the pretense of not saying to the judge she isn't going to repeat what the child actually said to her. I also saw that she tried to make the other parent look stupid by reversing questions to her to try and trip her up on the stand. It appears to me that Deb Asher only spent 20 minutes talking to one child and didn't even talk to the younger child. She also claimed to have talked to both children. She also recommended that both parents attend joint counseling even though the female was the victim of repeat domestic abuse from the male. The judge even said no way. Deb Asher needs to retire and get out of being a guardian ad litem....for the best interest of all children! She should never ever be retained....don't use her ever!

I hired attorney Asher and Cornell in regards to my child custody and placement case for my son with autism. I requested a change in placement for my son to attend the therapy services that he needed. As the other party had refused medical recommendations for two years. Throughout the process I do not feel I received quality counsel and in the end was pressured by my lawyer into signing an agreement that ultimately was less than what our GAL recommended and caused me to have to pay $300 a month more child support. They never counseled me on how it’d affect child support and also never took my proposal to the GAL, but the other party’s counsel seemed to be in constant contact with the GAL to get him to sign on to their proposal. I will not be returning as a client and do not recommend them for anyone. I ultimately had gotten what I wanted from GAL recommendation but settled for less due to Asher and Cornell’s counsel. I went into the process in order to get my autistic son the therapy he required while his mother didn’t even take him to therapy or believe the medical diagnosis prior to the case. When I consulted attorney Asher she portrayed it as a home run case, but now I’m sitting here after a $2800 attorney bill, $1000 GAL bill, and paying $300 more a month in child support, one day less a week and no weekends. Never again!
